Cold noodles are what Koreans eat a lot in summer.

As for your comment about residents building businesses in their homes, many people in the U.S. did that, even as little back as 40 years ago in the cities. They would have the ground floor of their home used as a business. However, these cities started putting in restrictive zoning laws which made it so much more difficult to do that.

I'm sure that someone mentioned that the noodles are usually cut into 4 partions. One cut in half vertically and one cut in half horizontally, basically making the shape of a cross where it has been cut. I personally don't cut my noodles, because I like the chewy texture and for me, by cutting the noodles, some of that chewiness goes away. As for that cubed vegetable, it is a radish. It's one form of hundreds of types of kimchi. It's called kkadugi.

Have lived here for a decade. If Seoul is the most beautiful city you've been to then I can't imagine the conditions of where you came from.

If you want to use public transportation in Korea, it would be more convenient to buy a transportation card than cash. It can also be used to transfer subways and buses, so it is recommended to purcha
