I remember watching "The Snowman" many times during Christmas myself, and always loved the song. Aurora is a self proclaimed fan of Christmas, and since this concert was filmed late December it just fit very well. Lovely version.
Great reaction and response to Aurora singing a cover version of 'Walking In The Air'. She puts a delicate yet particularly Norwegian vocal lilt to the yodel sounds between verses. It was a 'dreamy' song from an animated film 'Snowman'. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Please have a listen to one of my favorite performances of hers: From 2018 (22 years old) the song 'Forgotten Love' performed with only Silja Sol and Fredrik Svabo on vocal backing, in a Brazilian radio studio - ruclips.net/video/OLJQrXitrro/видео.html
Yea. You are right lyrics are rather straightforward but beautiful, especially singed by Aurora:). You can just imagine and feel the whole situation. But it is not her original song but a cover of the old song from the Snowmen movie :). And she has always great original songs but covers too :). Thx for a reaction.
Also I agree that she has a lot of variation in her music (and it is very good thing as it means she is versatile). But she has some very important messages. Of course there are different topics but they are rather related and coherent = with this part i think it is not "all over the place".
I'm American...but grew up several years of my childhood in France. And this song makes me SO nostalgic. I think it came out in the 80s or so. And every Christmas it would be played on TV all over Europe. And little 8 year old me....loved it. There's zero dialogue....just music. And the centerpiece is this song as the kid and the snowman are flying north...toward the northern lights(aurora...) and the north pole. That scene still gives me chills...
lol....I just realized I didn't mention.....this song is from a short hand animated movie, called The Snowman. It's a cover Aurora did...the main song from that movie. :)
lol....very true how you say us Aurora fans analyze what her songs are about...quite a bit. In part it's because Aurora herself is _very_ reticent to give away any concrete meaning. She hints at it sometimes. But often if an interviewer asks her, "does this song mean x?" She'll be like "yes! and no. it's about a lot of things. sort of." Which is why I'm _convinced_ her song Lucky is about the Paulo Coelho novel "Veronika Decides to Die." Aurora said it's her favorite book of all time, and she's read it 5 times. So....I had to read it, and did. And then "Lucky" made so much more sense. It's so clearly about that character in the book. But............I could be wrong. ;P
A cover, not an Aurora original but it suits her persona and as is the case with all of her covers, Aurora adds her own special and unique elements to it. A suggestion, if I may. Here is another side of Aurora, smiling and dancing with "Daydreamer" from her magical HAIK concert of 2019, which was recorded in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood (ruclips.net/video/XH-Pd8hYSoA/видео.html). I hope you can find the time to watch and enjoy it.

Lucy have a nice voice but does not give any thought and there are a bunch that sound in the same sphere in my opinion. Aurora is completely unique, no one has the same tone, feeling and expression together with her lyrics. Have you seen an entire concert with Aurora? It is a completely unique experience. She gives it her all on stage. I think you should give her that chance. If you don't like it, then just give up. Everyone is entitled to their taste and nothing is wrong. Have a nice day.

Yes, well performed by Aurora but it isn't one of her songs. It's from the movie "The Snowman". A Christmas animated movie.

Cool font. How do you get that ? What is your favorite artist(s) by the way ?
