I’m really sorry about your suitcase! My parents had their luggage stolen on a trip once, and while it’s “just stuff”, you still feel violated when someone steals from you. And sometimes special items aren’t really replaceable, whether it’s because of sentimental value or they’re not manufactured any more. 😢
Fleur I am so sorry you got your luggage stolen, I would go crazy, please update us on that matter, on the other hand I love how you don’t have to wear fake eye lashes since your lashes are amazing and full.

I honestly don't understand why so many companies create these fantastic trips to advertise - do their sales really improve because influencers take some pictures in amazing places? Just to clarify, I have no issue with people accepting these trips and products to share them on social media, I'm just not sure why similar results can't be created without so much wasteful spending.
Maybe they hope that offering such amazing trips will influence the generell opinion the influencer has on the brand? Even if it's just on a subconscious level?
It's not technically a waste if it accomplishes what they want though. And this is just what is shown. There are plenty of companies who spend way more but aren't in the beauty industry. Tech companies and financial companies spend millions to impress investors or anyone who will say their brand or company is amazing. I think beauty companies rely heavily on social media and I feel like Nars is being extremely intelligent about reaching out to RUclips influencers. It's where it's at when movie or TV celebrities won't get them as much money anymore.

I don't have an issue with brands using social media influencers to advertise. But one thing I would have liked to see is that if a selling point for NARS products is increased number of shades, it would have been nice to include vloggers/bloggers with a range of looks and skin tones.
@@lnmzq I don't have an issue with it as long as everything is clear, I just am not sure how much it works for advertising, especially when they could do similar events for influencers in a few places close to their market audience rather than paying extra for the same vlogs etc

My biggest fear when travelling is that I will lose my suitcase. I always carry my jewellery in my hand luggage for that very reason. But I would be so upset to lose my stuff. Especially as some handbags etc are sentimental. Can I ask where it was stolen from? Was it the airport?

That fruit is a mangosteen! Seasonal, and I believe only tropical(?), we have them in Malaysia!
Also seems like a super strange way that they were opened- like they were cut in half, how I’ve always learnt to open them was to crush them between your palms so you got to see them from the top and pick out each sliver like an orange!

How utterly frustrating to have had your bag stolen. A couple of our neighbours were broken into this week with some prized jewellery taken as well as electrical goods and it’s so upsetting to know there are people out there that have such disprespect for other’s property. Especially to items perhaps with sentimental value.I hope it gets recovered :( ❤️

The Mysterious Fruit is called Mangosteen, it's a tropical fruit I know it grows in Thailand.

Mangosteen! My mother is Malaysian and they have it a lot over there! One of my absolute favourite fruits :)
noticed you were wearing seabands, I always wear them when I dont feel good, not sure if it really helps (i wear them for motionsickness too along with taking medicine) but it always makes me at least feel a little better. Sorry you were sick on your trip it isn't fun to feel sick at home being away makes it so much worse.

I've been sleeping on silk pillowcases for 2 years now....really makes a difference in my hair.....as far as wrinkles go, we'll hard to say being I'm 65yrs old and already have wrinkles...lol...Perhaps if I slept on them at a younger age I'm sure it would have helped my face some....

I guess it’s different if you travel for events, because I don’t normally travel with my valued stuff unless I can take it in my hand luggage. I travel for work a lot as well, but I don’t bring my nicest bags and clothes just in case things get lost.

So cool you got to travel to Dubai for Nars :) It looks gorgeous there ;D I love that Nars is expanding their shades!!! I first was able to use Nars when they came out with Oslo (I'm very fair) in the Long Wear Radiant Foundation~ I loved that foundation because the application was so smooth and the color was more pink rather than the usual yellow undertone that Nars has had in their foundations. However in the end that foundation was too easy to transfer (even though it is promoted as transfer proof/resistant?). When I saw the cult classic sheer glow foundation was releasing the Oslo shade too I was soooo excited! :) I bought it recently and have been wearing it every day since! :) It applies easily and seems to last all day :) An A in my book! The only thing that would make it an A+ for me is if they had included the pump with the foundation and if you could put the cap on for travel with the pump on at the same time. Maybe they will make it that way in the future :)
The weird fruit, we call it "Mountain bamboo" in China, even tho it looks nothing like a bamboo😂it's super juicy and tasty. Also%if u crack it open instead of cutting it, the inside looks like a white kitten's paw. Super cute🥰

Just throwing in my two cents, but I prefer when an influencer has a few consistent partnerships over constantly raving about new things. People who claim to "looooooveeee" something new every week, and at least with a partnership like this, I know that she genuinely uses it (plus, sometimes it gets us a bit of extra Mike in the vlogs!). But to each their own :)
I love when Fleur and Mike cook together so I don’t mind :) also agree that it’s nice when influencers stick with a brand and don’t make out to love a new brand each week just for money!

You should be able to claim for the luggage through insurance. Takes a while but you can get compensation. Hope that helps.

Hope your feeling better such a shame it spoiled your trip. The stolen suitcase with good stuff in is not a happy experience i am sure and although not all memories or items can be replaced hopefully ins covers.
