Hi from Poland! I've been to Norway three times but always by car. Since I'm a keen bicycle tourist, I'm planning a bicycle tour in Norway for this summer with my son (20) and I find your videos immensely helpful. I've known about the famous Rallarvegen bike trail and it's on my list. By the way - thank you so much for recording the whole trail from Haugastol 1000 to Flam. I'm going to cycle exactly the same route in the same direction and I hope we'll have as beautiful weather as you had. Quite recently YT recommended to me another bicycle gem trail - Aursjovegen and I added it to my planned tour. And just today YT proposed to me this video and I am immediatelly rescheduling my planned route. I was planning to cycle from Borgund via Tyinkrysset to Ovre Ardal all the way on asphalt road. But after seeing your video, we'll definitely cycle this magnificent gravel trail with such amazing views and no cars! I heard about the Tousenmeteren trail and thought maybe we could cycle up there after leaving our panniers in Utladalen Camping. But now there's no need to return, we can visit Tousenmeteren on our way to Ovre Ardal. Thank you so much for your amazing videos. They are such a treat for my beauty-hungry soul. We're planning a 17 day bicycle tour in Norway this summer (July-August) - when is the best weather? Thanks! Peter
Hello! So glad you enjoy my videos 😊 The best weather is often in June here in southwest Norway but thats to early to go biking on rallarvegen and tusenmeteren due to snow still remaining. so late July through all of August is the best time to bike in the mountains. Have you seen Jessops video from Rallarvegen? ruclips.net/video/kItuEDnvAx4/видео.htmlsi=1_ufKvZCraZcOu3K
@norwegianslowtv9689 Yes, I've just seen it. Too much taking, too little peaceful nature. I prefer silent videos where I can hear the natural sounds. Best wishes 🙂
Yes, these downhills are rough on the brakes. They get so hot that the brakelines wich are made of plastic get soft and start to leak brakefluid 😄 Have serviced them a few times and last fall I changed the entire brakingsystem with proper Shimano brakes
Hi. The road was originally built to access the mountain when they built the hydroelectric plant in Årdal. When the plant was finished they started using the road to get over the mountains to east of Norway and it became a tourist attraction. Nowadays there is a new road down in the valley and the old road is closed for cars.
@@norwegianslowtv9689 Thank You very much for the answer and Your knowledge! Your Videos are wonderful and everyone can see the splendid nature of Norway!
I stop the video every quarter of a minute to admire the cosmic scenery. I'm so glad that RUclips recommended your channel to me.
So am I ☺
Very nice trip ❤️

Kjekt du likte videoen :) Goproen er festet på styret med en klemme jeg kjøpte på Ebay for lenge siden. Bruker innebygd stabilisering ;)
Takk for svar 🙂
Goooood from iraq
thank you for live sound and no music
Youre welcome 🙂
Why is this expensive litttle road built? Do You know?
