Effectiveness was a huge factor in the Condit/Lawler fight. I had Condit winning 3-2 but judges may have, for once, considered the effectiveness percentage based on hits thrown v/s hits landed, which is rarely taken into account in the MMA metrics scoring system. Lawler exceeded Condit by about 7 percentage points in terms of effectiveness, because Condit threw loads and much of that stuff missed or was blocked by Lawler. I'm not an expert in terms of judging a fight, it's a more complicated science than people may think, but I'm ok if they considered effectiveness. In other combat sports like boxing, it is a paramount factor.

Silva is my all time favorite fighter and he made a huge mistake and only got a year. Now I know people will be like Silva is a cheat this and that but he had never failed a test until this fight after a terrible injury. So cut him some slack on that. With that said, I feel the same should be given to Nick. Hope to see him back in 2016

Effectiveness was a huge factor in the Condit/Lawler fight. I had Condit winning 3-2 but judges may have, for once, considered the effectiveness percentage based on hits thrown v/s hits landed, which is rarely taken into account in the MMA metrics scoring system. Lawler exceeded Condit by about 7 percentage points in terms of effectiveness, because Condit threw loads and much of that stuff missed or was blocked by Lawler.
I'm not an expert in terms of judging a fight, it's a more complicated science than people may think, but I'm ok if they considered effectiveness. In other combat sports like boxing, it is a paramount factor.

It was not a high paced slug fest but it was an entertaining fight, Diaz played an interesting game and showed some of Anderson's weakness. Diaz lost but he just stood in the ring with the Pound for pound greatest fighter on the planet (Supposedly) and did not go down once! Many others have failed to last a single round. Anderson respected Nick and did not finish the fight! No way it was five rounds to zero, why is no one commenting on Anderson's perceived poor performance, if Nick was so bad, why didn't Anderson finish the fight?
