I've read somewhere that in NL a passive house needs at least 27cm so this would be sufficient. are you also Installing a heat recovery ventilation system?
I was curious how you were going to do the inside. I'm getting ready to do a beam style A Frame with heavy douglas fir frames so you can see the framework inside and couldn't figure out where you were headed. Looks like a nice design, but I feel like I wanna see that framing inside if I'm gonna have an A. :D Keep up the good work!
In Hungary, we must cover, or at least we need to thicken the top beams. So we decided to cover them. It also makes heating more effective, but I agree, the “A” look is more beautiful. In the next video, you will se the end result. :)
A frame house is my dream house,, but idk it's applicable or is legal in my country Philippines...but I really want to try this very soon 😇😌 can I have the floor plan?
You've created a perfect vertical wall on the sides (ground floor), seems like there's quite a bit of space left behin those walls. What did you use that space for?
The framing was two days, but it could be faster. I am not sure how long the insulating process lasted. I think it takes 5-10, day depends on the crew.
The “build on your own” means also two people, and also means that you are experienced. It is not rocket science, but you better have some experience, and tools.
Hi! It depends on, what type of skylight you have. We recommend to use Velux, and it also has a users manual, and official “how to” vodeos on youtube. I am really sorry, we don’t have a detailed skylight installing video.
Between the roof battens, and the wind barrirer, there is a 5cm space. At the top, there is a sheet metal with small holes. At the bottom we haven’t closed the roof metal, so the air can circulate. What is your opinion?
@@AvrameHungary Excellent! Doesn't show clearly on video. Im sure you put a galvanized mesh net on bottom to avoid rats/mouses crawling up the roof? :) Fun to watch and waiting for part 5.
Very nice video! Looking forward for the next part already. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Thank you!

Nice music selection! One day, I'll build myself a well isolated a-frame. I'm pretty sure about that. HOpe you guys are still around then.

Why did you put a second layer of rock wool after the osd and vapor barrier
Thanks for posting buddy! Can u post a video of the finished product from the inside? I'm very interested in buying one of these in the near future
Hi! The next video will allow you to see the finnished interior :)
Very very nice & beutiful... Greetings from Mizoram, lndia....
Are you guys making this almost a passive house? Rock wool, blue layer, and then rock wool again!? wow that’s a lot of insulation!
30 cm in the walls, 34 cm in the floor.

@@AvrameHungary what R values do you wind up with? Super curious here in Canada.
No, but it is possible.
The trio model: U value 0,13, R value 7,69
Hey there, very nice project!
Why do you install vapor barrier between the floors ? Thanks!
Good question, it was not necessary. But after that, I don’t think it is a problem.
@@AvrameHungary What tickness you use for OSB on inside walls ?
@@bbndra5684 Hi! We used 12mm osb.

How to protect the outside front wall from rain?
Cladding, or any other prefered material. And 900 mm, or longer roof overhang.

Hallo, welche Höhe hat denn das Haus?
You've created a perfect vertical wall on the sides (ground floor), seems like there's quite a bit of space left behin those walls. What did you use that space for?
One side of the house there is a storage space, all way long. The opposite side is empty, and it has some space for plumbing.
Nice job!! How many days did it take you to finish it? And how many people?
Hi! This is an estimated calculation, but pretty accurate:

This is so helpful. Thanks. From the time when you started insulation to when you had your interior walls framed up, how long was it?

I'm in Sri Lanka. Want to build a Aframe house on my land. But I could'n find a good constructor still.😥
Two people crew is enough! Or build on your own, you can see it is not hard :)
