As a patient at 56 Dean Street from the times it was Victoria Clinic can I just say I'm so proud of them and the work they do!! The quality and dignity of the care I've received there right from 2001 has been exceptional!

Throwing this out there for whoever comes across this video.
Those people that introduce you to these hard drugs are NOT your “friends.” They are either looking to get something from you, or use you. Or both. Be adamant about saying no to this chem sex culture that is circling the gay community. We all deserve happiness and friends and community but that isn’t found through unhealthy drug use.
    Goodluck fellow gays.

We need more education to be able to have a healthy chemsex subculture. As is it’s not healthy, there may be some healthy and responsible users, but they’re by far not the majority. We need to encourage men to go to therapy and address their issues especially if they intend to dabble in chemsex

Frankly I think drugs are ruining gay life. I have given up meth, and all drugs, entirely and I have also given up sex because it is not emotionally satisfying, most gay men are too fucked up and I don't want to deal with them, and sex is just not that important any more. Yeah I'm lonely, but I love myself, I'm taking good care of myself, and there is little or no drama in my life. I'm at peace, and if the price of being here is giving up sex, no problem!

      Right on.
Im pretty much peak sex and drugs on my mind 24/7. I know it will lessen the older I get. But I fear the amount of damage I’ve done will make it very difficult to recover and cause lots of trauma.

I know it's a really old video, but i feel compelled to say this: apps do not offer drugs to gay men. Gay men offer drugs to other gay men, and use apps as a means of communication.

Do not do meth. That’s all I’m going to say, please do not ever try it even if its “just once”. I’ve had numerous family members loose absolutely everything multiple times over because of their exposure to meth.

Thats exactly what I was gonna say this video promotes addiction in a way that ties to. Make it sound so exclusive and luxurious and fail to address the live that get ruined . DUE TO ADDICTION they make it sound like a walk in the park and wow this is so damaging

I have to say there are a lot of parallels between chemsex and the kind of drug use and associated problems (when they occur) of sex workers. I know that some feel that it cannot be compared to the GLBT community because you don’t choose “queer” identity. However, there are people who are raised in the game intergenerationally, people who start early as a response to poverty, and people who are trafficked. Many of us are subjected the whore stigma early, including criminal records from early adulthood which are punished (in my state) by being on a background check reject list with people with CSC and child or severe domestic battery convictions. Therefore, we can’t rent housing and are barred from working in human services, health care, education, or any work with youth, the disabled, or elderly for 15 years after last prostitution arrest. And these are very common feminine occupations, so this is, basically, banishment for female and many gay male and trans sex workers. I think many of the parallels with chemsex, for me, have to do with that stigma and resulting shame. I’m on the last leg of a Master’s Addiction Counseling program, hoping to work with people affected by such issues, and expect to cite this discussion in a presentation tomorrow. I’m very passionate about this work which is good, because it is the only area I know of where they can waive your criminal record and you can work with people again. Of course, those who have lived chemical use issues are in a unique position to do so.
