    I have the PMR 30, using CCi 40 gr and keep it oiled. Purchased the speed loader that makes it easy and perfect loading each time. No problems and shoots like a dream. Love it!

    I own all 3 as well. I agree with your decision. Just purchased a Gideon optics green dot sight for it. We shall see.

    FYI: AMT came out with a .22 Magnum semiauto handgun almost 30 years ago.
    My lgs had a KelTec come back in with a cracked breech face.

    I've got the PMR30 and the CMR30 to go with it. I had some issues with the PMR when I first bought it (bough that one before the CMR), but I took some time learning to load/reload the mags and I haven't had any issues the past few times I've gone out with it. Love how light it is and the capacity. Loud little bugger, and it always gets a few looks whenever I start shooting. It's not "optics ready" but you can buy a Burris or Doctor optic plate from Keltec that only takes a few minutes to install. I've seen a bunch of people talk about getting the MCarbo upgrade kit, but I see no reason to get any of it beyond MAYBE the stainless steel feed ramp and the improved buffer pad. Though I need neither right now, I can see the plastic factory feed ramp maybe getting scuffed up enough to warrant a more robust alternative. MCarbo says the buffer bad wears out quickly, but I've got hundreds of rounds through mine and the buffer seems fine. Nothing else in the upgrade kit seems necessary, all the rest seem to be more cosmetic. I might buy one of their metal PMR mags, but at $75 a pop, that's a hefty investment (and it looks like they have issues with them). Factory mags are around $30, and seem sturdy enough.
    Great video. Thanks for the info.

      I had both the PMR and the CMR as well, super fun at the range. I think the success of KelTec's PMR-30 definitely led to other manufacturers making their versions. Keltec had the benefit of first to market in that aspect. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!

    Judging from the video reliability is the most important. I would take the WMP

    I have wmp and keltec. Both function flawlessly. Both are way more capable of producing a helluva lot better groups than you put up. How far was that? Terrible at whatever the distance. At 25 yards both the wmp and keltec are capable of killing a golf ball no problem. My pick of the two is the wmp. It's a heavier, stronger, larger frame, bull barrel, smoother pistol. Either is a fine choice for small game, snakes, paper, or tin cans. The groups you shot are terrible.

    I have the WMP and the PMR. I live in a state that limits you to 10 rounds. I don’t think S&W has come up with a 10 round version. The Walther has never had a problem.

    I got the Smith & Wesson M&P .22 WMR and really like it. So far in 250 rounds I've had NO stoppages or failures to fire.
    My .22 WMR Carbine is a RUGER 96/22 lever action rifle with a Green River octagonal barrel (.22 LR barrel re-chambered to .22 WMR. so I could get the proper barrel length.) It's accurate but has a crappy trigger that CANNOT be improved.

    I think that the Smith is really a Kel-tec 2.0. I admit that I love my WMP so I am bias . Thank you for doing this video young man.

    Wooo, aw right. I own a PMR. Other than the constant misfeeds and failure to eject... And the front side falling off... It's a fun gun.

      The PMR is a fun pistol for sure, it does have its drawbacks, lol. The M&P model is definitely a step up, but I have to give KelTec credit, they did bring a modern .22 magnum to market before anyone else.

    I have the PMR and even after putting in a stiffer return spring, I still get a lot of blow back gas and powder. I have been looking at the Walther.

    The Walther is hammer fired, not a striker fired pistol. You aren't the brightest bulb.

    In your own opinion which is better: the Glock 19X or the Smith & Wesson .22 Magnum pistol?

    • @citizenpew
      @citizenpew  Месяц назад +1

      Both are good firearms, I'd say both have their place too. For myself, I wouldn't EDC a .22 Magnum, but it does make a good backpack gun if out hiking or something.

      @@citizenpew when a 3D printer prints out a .22 Magnum and a Glock 19X, which one would scare people more because I want one to keep my house and my family safe, but I can't afford either one of them.

    Just curious.....what was the target distance in your video?

    • @citizenpew
      @citizenpew  28 дней назад +1

      If I didn't mention it in the video I usually set up for 5 or 10 yards when demonstrating pistols, sometimes I'll do both. Relaying that information is still something I need to get better at mentioning in the videos.
