Welcome to malaysia🎉
We don't refer to the transport as 'tuk-tuk'. It's called 'trishaw'.
6:43 - that is the Call to Prayer by the Muezzin from the Masjid @Mosque. The name of the Mosque is Masjid Kapitan Keling. 2nd oldest mosque in Penang dating back to the days of the British Colonialism in 1786. The mosque was built in the early 1800s.
Travellers ought to do some research on the history, culture and traditions of the place you intend to visit before you step foot in the land. It will be better for you to know a bit about the norms of the country and to avoid any boo-boo when vlogging. 🤗
Nevertheless, enjoy your journey here in Malaysia. 🤲🤗🤲👍😍
Melaka is another historical city south of Kuala Lumpur, about 2-3 hours by car/bus. It’s dated back tu 14-15th century.
6:40 It's a call of prayer for the Muslims and not a music
Great job Zane. I married a Malaysian in the 80s and we visit Georgetown every time we go back. We both think you're a great tour guide of Malaysia! Keep up the good work Z-man!
Helo Zane, The "Tuk Tuk" we local call it as BECA ( Bay Cha by pronountion) or a trishaw.
Bro, Penang Island is a gem in Malaysia. If you stay in Georgetown, you have to visit Rumah Peranakan and Blue Mansion - they are the heritage of Baba and Nyonya, a unique culture found only in Malaysia. Don't miss the most famous temple in Malaysia- Kek Lok Si temple. If you have a car, take a walk along Gurney Drive - it's like a mini Gold Coast of Australia. Also, visit Tanjung Tokong Strait Quay mall, where there's a small harbor with many yachts that resemble mini Miami. The hotel you are staying at is Tanjung Bungah, where many expats have bought condos. Don't miss the butterfly farm and Batu Ferringhi (with lots of resorts) on a day trip.
Great videos dude, keep them coming. Me and the Mrs love seeing your travels, inspiring us to do the same!
Thank you for bringing us, especially me, to Penang, Malaysia. I know now where to go around the place as I plan to visit the city soon.😊
Nice video! You gotta do at least a week or two here to really immerse yourself in the culture. And all the food of course.
I born in Penang, leaving the country over 28 years, so nice you show it here again, love the food too.
Tq for coming to Penang… hope u enjoy here
Penang vibe like a Melaka Town, also recognized as a World Heritage City by UNESCO.
Melaka is famous for the history of the Malay sultanate that traded with many countries and other history in that century.
Everyone has their own experience when coming to a place for a first time. I love travelling and I do wanna have such experience like yours. Your video has shared useful information of the journey
Hi Zane, I just find you here from your tarot channel. That's cool! Enjoy your travel time!💌💕-Nicole
Very nice place i love the view from the room you can see quite a bit 😊
6:45 - That is not music. it is called Azan, which indicates that it is time for prayer for Muslims. It came from the mosque near where you were walking
Excellent video- hoping to go there next year. Did you get to Malacca?
You crack me up. 😂 Flower petals and hearts for you and all of your viewers! ❤ Sweet free room!
Nice to have you around here.
7:58 Beside the Muar Chee stall is the famous Penang Teochew Cendol shaved ice dessert with red beans, coconut milk, Pandan jelly. A must try. It's pronounced "Chen-doll" rather then "sen-doll" as some have said it. Have a great time in Penang.
Sad he just walk pass one of the best cendol stall in the world. I would purposely go there to eat it every time I go Penang.
The tricycle is called 'Beca' in Malay ... you can find Beca also in Melaka ..
Yo, just go to penang hill in the morning. You can totally get a ticket on the spot, and the queues aren't that long.
Since you are in Penang, I suggest you visit Langkawi Island as well. I've watched almost every videoson your channel. Love your videos.
Love n enjoy watching your videos....🤗👍
Georgetown, aside having the colonial architectures, it also rich with cultures from other races such as Chinese and Indians. The old buildings you saw in Georgetown have the Chinese architectural influences, as the reason the city itself was populated with businessmen and merchants in the olden days. Chinese made living by doing business, that's how you can see lots of ancient Chinese architectural influenced buildings. Penang is also a heaven for food hunters. Three days in Penang is just not enough. ALSO, WELCOME TO MY HOMETOWN!
Please visit The historical city of Malacca and explore some cold places like Cameron Highlands, Fraser's hills, Maxwell hills, Bukit Tinggi Pahang, and Genting Highlands..
Awesome vlog 🔥🔥 love your videos ❤️❤️ Penang Malaysia
hope u will enjoy Penang. please make a video about modern Penang as well by exploring gurney drive, bayan baru, bandar cassia
If you're coming back to KL, drop by the Coliseum Café at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. It's a great food institution with a steep history as the café has been operating since colonial times. They serve the best Hainanese chicken chop as well as chicken a la King. They also have a bar and they can whip up good cocktails. Even the deco has remained just as it was back in the British days. In Penang, perhaps you can ask the locals how to get to Monkey Bay. It's pretty secluded and it's not too accessible, meaning you either have to walk through a jungle or take a boat. Also, if you like history and horror stories at the same time, you can visit the War Museum. The locals will tell you it's the creepiest and most haunted place on the island as many ghost sightings have been reported. You'll feel that spine-tingling chill there - even in broad daylight! Another place that's free and worth visiting, if you are a history buff, is the Old Protestant Cemetery. That's where Capt. Francis Light, the man who opened the island, is interred in an above-the-ground vault. Even Anna Leonowen - the lady behind "Anna and the King" - late husband was interred there as well.
Very interesting town in George Town. But when you went from the skyline having lunch, it went straight to the next morning. We’re you supposed to go to the hills on a tour? Seems like you had a little hiccup with your travel plans, but that always seems to happen when anyone is traveling, especially in a foreign country. Safe travels!
yea free stuffs are pretty awesome!!
The 'tuk tuk' is called lanchar and the 'music' you heard is the muslim call to prayer. Hv a nice time in Penang😊
❤Malaysia 🇲🇾 & Penang❣
Zane you can also see the colonial buildings duting the dutch n Portuguese of the 15 hundreds in Melaka. Take bus from kl to melaka central about rm 14 fare. You can observe the bldgs colored in red.
Go to dataran pahlawan , melaka
welcome to penang bro ❤
I don't think we have tuk tuks in Malaysia. Those are tricycle thingy is called a trishaw. Definitely 3 days isn't enough to explore the cultural and food aspect of Penang. But take your time and enjoy your stay.
I believe it's called trishaw not tricycle... or beca (pronounced bay cha)
Enjoy the food and culture 🙏🙏🙏
Batu ferringhi is more of a beach chill vibe~ it's a nice place to chill, have a cup of starbucks and just relax! Of course the price there will be abit more touristy, it always has been since the earliest I can remember in my 26 years of life.
Hope you can have more good local food while you're there 😊😊 enjoy yourself!!
But B.Feringhi have many jellyfish like Telok Bahang...not suitable for swimming...
Loved the Hard Rock Hotel !
Those bike rides are called Richshaw or locally also known as Beca
😊
Together with us to celebrate the Merdeka Day or Independence Day of Malaysia on August 31st. Hopefully you will be around to see.
Welcome bro

The heat and humidity were much worse in George Town than on the rest of the island.

If you are interested in islands and beaches, go to Langkawi, north of Penang, which is the 5th best tourist spot in Southeast Asia.
Um! Nope! Not walking on that see through glass 😂
muah chee = mochi
Nasi kandar
Best things in life are free. Lol😂
I see from the comments on here and on other videos you either mis pronounce things or don’t call them the correct name……lol! Would be nice to see more of Panang instead of walking, talking and eating. Call to Prayer is music?……lol!
Last few days I went to this muah chee store, It was sour and expired-taste, and this is the worst muah chee I ever eaten in my LIFE! (from a local) 8:02
Về việt nam thôi anh chàng đẹp trai
Tuk tuk in thailand or cambodia. You call these trishaw or lancar. Be careful pronounce it right
Pulau Penang tidak mencirikan identitas Budaya lokal sehingga disana penuh Budaya China Tiongkok seperti berada di negara lain
SUHANJAYA LIAN the RACIST & the CLAIMER creature from INDONESIA has arrived...burungTiongKokBisa begitu...identiTasTangan wanita...olok-oLokal.. wkwkWakWakandaWkwk... 😂😊😅😆😂🤣
Not really. It is because majority of the Penangnites is Chinese, that's why you feel it is full of Chinese cultures. There's a bit of story why this island has more Chinese than other races, especially Malay (being the Bumiputera here).
Disenaraikan oleh UNESCO tetapi kamu mungkin tidak mengerti apa maksud 'belajar'.
Kalau berani jawab aku dah lama perati kau
Malaysia is predominantky islam. Thats now music , Thats call for prayers happens 5 times daily . Since you American never come out of you comfort zone. The works is big and America is not the only one that exists. Btw China is overtaking America as the no 1, they are not
06:45 that's not music , that's the call to prayer for Muslims lol
