- I visited Indonesia's arts and cultural city - Yogyakarta. During my time here I ate amazing Javanese noodles, gelato, and tried my first snake fruit. I also visited the incredible Prambanan temple.

Yogyakarta is a must visit in Indonesia. I think its the most charming city in Indonesia.
Yes, Denpasar the capital of Bali feels more like a typical city, not much going on in terms of tourism. Jalan Gajah Mada in Denpasar is an equivalent to Malioboro, just a typical street with old shops and a main market.

Mount Bromo is not in Yogyakarta, but you should visit it when you go to East Java.
Yogyakarta (Jogja) is famous for its sweet foods. The sweets that you see being sold in various outlets are BAKPIA.. a typical cookies from Jogja. Originally it was filled with "green beans", now it is made with many variations like cheese, chocolate, strawberry etc.

Yogyakarta or Jogja is the heart of javanese culture, authentic vibes, rich of tradition and history, so many touristy spot, so enjoyable
Kudos. Everybody comes to Central Java and takes these package tours, which is fine. But you just take off and walk. That's the way to get the real flavor of a place.
When in Malioboro, you must see batik shop called margaria batik, see that batik is Indonesian common identity and souvenirs. When you back home or go another country, make sure you take one of that batik, hope you have a good trip 👍🏼👍🏼
Whenever I visit Yogyakarta I always bring bakpia back to Bandung. You can't miss the sweets there, man.

if you're still in yogyakarta, you can go to alun-alun kidul and prawirotaman street, come at night for dinner

Prambanan has 1000 temple and it's build only in one night.
Anyway for the next video i recomend you to visit Borobudur temple, the biggest budhis temple in the world.
Here's my recommendations for those who want to visit Yogyakarta (Jogja, as the locals called it):
1. A private-owned museum called Ullen Sentalu. Easily one of the best museums in Indonesia. Its collections are about Yogyakarta's royal history.
-if you are visiting on weekend, spend the whole day around the area (Kaliurang), make a reservation at least 3-5 days before for a table at The Waroeng of Raminten for your dinner and watch their cultural performances for free (they have tons of traditional menu you will have to try!)
2. Take a tour of Borobudur temple in the morning to get the sunrise, usually you'll get to visit Prambanan temple, and then Ratu Boko untill sunset, and then ask the tour to drop you off to watch the Ramayana Ballet Prambanan (don't forget to make reservation first!)
I'm not into beaches, so I don't have any recommendation for them. But Yogyakarta has lots that are open to public.
There's a drag queen show too every weekend, can google "cabaret raminten Hamzah Batik"
Jogja to Bromo is a looongg drive, not possible for a day trip. Take the train to Malang, and its still a couple of hours drive up the mountain from there.
Have you tried Gado-gado ? Indonesian salad with potatoes. eggs and peanut sauce. And Rujak or fruit salad but the sauce can be a bit spicy

If you want to buy a patch of Indonesian flag, try to go to a shop that sells schools uniform or army uniform, they have a lot of it. If you’re still in Bali, search in Denpasar area and maybe ask your hotel staffs. Good luck
Take train to Surabaya first. Stay in Surabaya for 2-3 days.
After Surabaya, you can take bus in Bungurasih terminal to Probolinggo terminal. From there you continue to Bromo (East Java) by mini van. This way is cheaper than you take private tour by car.
Snake fruit is good for you stomach.. protect you from diarrhea from something you eat earlier. (Spicy food vs snake fruit).

Actually you can take the trans jogja bus from malioboro halte to prambanan with line 1A. It cost only 3.500 IDR😂. Its convinience aircon Bus

To go the airport, you can ride the airport train from any of the train station . The cost is about Rp. 20.000 for the airport train

I assume you were in jogja few weeks before this video uploaded. Actually it’s kind of art week in jogja. there are many art exhibitions there if you are into art and culture. you can check many local and some foreign artist exhibits their art in many gallery and museum there

in jogjakarta there is Merapi tour not Bromo tour
Mt Bromo is in east java
You do not need to schedule a tour to Borobudur Temple just google map how to go to it (using bus usually), but for Bromo you should get a tour if you dont have your own vehicle
About the sweetshops in Yogya, they are called bakpia and commonly bought by (local) tourists for friends and family at home (eg Jakarta).
Yogyakarta authentic food & snack tend to be sweet compare to other parts of Indonesia. Yogyakarta and central java province / state in general. Its commont that people from yogyakarta and central java has diabetes problem, just like obesity in the US especially southern states 😊
jogja is far to mount bromo, even by train it took 7 hours to go so it'll take more hour if you go by car

in jogja everything is expensive, it will disappoint you. you better go to raja ampat, papua. (Indonesia)this is paradise on earth, 1000 times more beautiful than Bali, and 1 million times better than Jogja.

Malioboro Road area has lost its charm after the street vendors and stalls outside the shops were removed and replaced with benches. It's no longer busy and crowded as before. Glad i visited Jogja before the modernization of the place
when you going to visit Bromo (east java), you have to come to Surabaya (capital of east java) because it's not too far from bromo, and bcoz surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia, so if you are looking for alcohol it is eezz enough.. 😁
