I've been looking for a tutorial like this for a few months now thank you so much for that knowledge and exactly which type of yarn is best etc, because while I do got yarn it's all jsut rnaodm things like from family members all different etc. And I almost wnated to give up because it wasnt becoming fluffy and it felt pointless but this is so good for advice and even with the different lengths and colours and the core and all yeh experimenting this si a great video with amazing advice. Thank you again so much
i've been looking for a reference for what a wool tail looks like for a while because i hate the idea of having one made out of plastic, and this is PERFECT. i want a real tail, it's just hard to get one 100% ethically, and it looks like wool is the next best thing. i was watching you make the first wool tail and i was like 'man i wish i could see what a weightier tail would look like with wool' and was SO happy when that was literally the next segment of the video. i was worried about how wool would hold up being brushed out like that, but it looks really great. just wanted to comment because this made my day, it's so helpful
Hey, I just wanted to say. I just made my first tail from your video and I’m so thankful. I’ve been wanting to create my fursona and this made me realize it was financially possible. I love your creativity. Thank you for sharing ❤
one more tip for all tail makers: iron after brushing. Hair straightener would be the best, but regular iron can do this job as well, you only have to make sure the yarn is relatively straight when doing this. Then brush again. Feel won't change, but whole tail will look more well-kept
been experimenting with yarn tails myself and now i'm convinced to try wool yarn now! idk if you'll see this comment but i want to ask if the wool fur tangled or deforms easily because that's been my biggest problem with yarn tails so far. I'm trying to make my yarn tails as close to the real thing as possible and real tails don't really get matted.
@@cody.dw8 I haven't really used or handled the wool one since I made it so I don't know how much it'll get matted but if it did you could just re-brush it. But wool is definitely the closest thing to real ive found
I was thinking of trying to make a tail with faux fur yarn I have, but the wool technique would be easier to achieve I think. I gotta check what wool yarn I have so I can get my tIl made before Halloween. 😅
Hi there! 💫 I just came over from your older wolf tail making video as well and watched them both through. Thank you for these videos, you may have saved my halloween idea hahaha. I was just wondering- You mentioned having an aluminium core in one of your tails. (I think it was the old one one where you did the 4 strand braid?) I want to attempt to put a small wire in the centre of mine (as I plan on styling it) but I'm not sure if I have to braid it into the core or slide it in after I make the core? Not sure if you'll see this in time but thank you for the video anyways :D
Is the wool yarn 100% wool? And what is the brand name of the wool yarn you used? Thank you for making this video ive been looking everywhere if someone made different types of yarns for yarn tails.

That tiny tail could be hot glued onto a doll and given to a child :]
i always prefer to use merino roving wool because it’s really soft and it saves time when it comes to brushing them (since they aren’t in string)
I didn't even know that was a thing! You just blew my mind!!!!
@@BlanchBrothersStudio you’re welcome :)

@ got it thanks !
I have yarn bee and it definitely does work if you make the yarn long enough

Sliding it in after would be super hard. Either make it the core itself or put it in the core of strings

I have a huge garbage bag full of wool yarn, I wonder if I can dye it. I hope that you and your wife are feeling better ♥
Ya you can dye it pretty easy
where can I get that brush? What is the brush called? And what type of yarn do you use? Double knit, 3ply?
Uhh there's another comment that suggest good yarn and it's a shedding brush or something. For like pets
How can you do that, because I did a wolf tail since a year ago and never went to complete...like never
sick! like that's sick and your also sick. ha. hope you feel better!
Noice
I try to make it, but I keep ripping it, it's acrylic too.
Every yarn is different. You just have to experiment
@@BlanchBrothersStudio Ok, thanks!!
The real fur tail you wanted to know what type of animal it's from, it's a coyote tail.
Interesting! Thank you
