I'm a fellow amputee and I'd love to actually work in the field one day and have actually helped in the making of a test socket for my BKA but mine is the right side. I watched a lot of your videos in 2018 when I first lost my foot and I share ur videos to others that have questions about the whole process
Bendiciones para todos ustedes es el mejor video que explican como hacer un soker osea una cabidad mejustaria que explicaran como hacer una maquina que chipe el aire muchas felisitaciones muy bueno el video gracias por compartir ese conosimiento
First they take a cast, then make a positive of your foot, and then get the foot ready by putting the leg part horizontal with the foot pointing down. If there are hinges, they tack the hinges to the mold or use dummy hinges to create a space for them. Then when the plastic is ready they stretch it over the mold and pinch it shut at the top of the foot and the shin area. When it cools, they cut it off, sand it down, add straps, and done!
That was the coolest video I've ever seen. I've been trying to find one for making an AFO, but they never show how to get the plastic off the negative.
Loved this video!!! Really helpful!! Thanks.. would you mind making another video of a prosthesis which has a foam mold inside the hard shell?!! Please Looks great!
Cool bloody job dude you are our man! Oh and Christina I have a project for you to do that I think that you find "freekin" awesome and maybe want to share with others.
Yea that's pretty cool. I'd like to but all that equipment which doesn't look to expensive because I'm tired of waiting three weeks or more for my leg socket.
In a previous video, you said that over time, residual limbs shrink, do they shrink enough over time that you have to have an entirely new prosthetic? Or is it managed through socks and whatnot?
Im sitting here wondering how I can rotate my left toe inward. Which of these hex key holes hold the solution? I wonder what they all do? I suggest an "ABCs of the prosthetic leg" AK & BK maybe showing all of the new advances.
Does not seem worth the 24k [ Yes 24,000 dollars USD ] they are JACKING ME UP for a basic bka prosthesis! It's a RIP off I cant afford so i have to go around on as piss poor fitting leg prothetic. [ note Standard Prosthetics is not the company doing this!!! To me

Great video! I'm in the process of getting my new sockets (I'm a 2 bk) and this really helped me understand the skill and process involved.
Wow! Nice job on the video. Very helpful in understanding what the OP is doing.

I think you're pretty awesome, but who cares what I think? Just want to thank you for your vidoes! From a friendly physiatrist :-)
I care what you think!
great1, what kind of plastic material were used?

Will you be showing how the final definitive socket is made?
How much cost small LEG replay me please
How do they use the test socket to make the final one?
I don't. I was given an opportunity to try out a new system.
Do you understand how to make a Benham's disk out of a cd?
My wife needs this.. she had her stump recut and now has no prosthetic that fits.. do you know if Blue Cross Blue Shield covers prosthetics?
Yes
good demo. (y)
What is the name of the new system? I'm glad that you are doing well! I'm trying out a new socket called "Boa".

That prosthesis will not fit you well and you will have the socket hitting your tendon when bending your knee. Otherwise, great video!
