    So glad I joined the Royal Navy when I was 17. I loved my home town of Rochdale in Lancashire, but boy did I see get to see the wider world. The town I left was starting to be, and now is, full of people like this. Some lovely people of course, but many, many lowlifes. I had a great career, learnt a trade and am now settled in Florida. I could have been one of these but, thankfully I wasn't, I didn't do drugs and I got off my ass and served!!!! So grateful to the RN.

    Immigrants have never taken my job, and its a very well paid job. I wonder why that is ?. I was homeless at 14, joined the army at 16. Went to uni at 30. Life is hard, life is unfair, life is against you, society will screw you over. I learned that when I was a little boy. I also learned, that, if there was no one else I can rely on, I best be up to the job of looking after me. Yup did I feel bitter, that others have life handed to them on a plate. Yup I did, I am only human. Did I let it get in the way of me making something of my life did I feck. You have three choices, you either accept what life has f=given you, work to change the system, or work to change your self. I took the 3rd. And it worked for me. So sit on your arse whine about immigrants, taking low paid shite jobs. Or work a shite job and study for a better job.

      The issue with the working class, is a lot more complex than that. When we are to look at the working class as a whole they have been quite frankly betrayed by both labor, and the Tories on the basis that the working class don't really win elections anymore. I mean, 14% is no where near a majority. Compared to the roughly 60% of the middle class. Furthermore, when we are to look at their rhetoric they state that the immigrants are working for less than them. They don't want to work because they feel like they being undervalued. Which yes, it isn't stated the wages they are earning nor do we know the reason why he got "pissed off at the end". I'd argue that this video is actually quite sly, due to the usage of the music clearly meant to evoke emotions in regards to the working class.
      Yes, I've interacted with those that would be considered "chavs" and it is quite frankly saddening. However, at the same time the same aspects that could be argued as chav-like behavior can also be seen with those that would not be considered working class and what tends to be forgotten is that they are human too. I've seen people that would be considered middle class shit talk them and say they want to get away from them, whilst at the same time they participate in the same degenerative behavior such as drugs.
      Furthermore, by complaining about this you are only making this problem worse as they will begin to resent the classes above them who simply don't understand them. For example, the author of this post is a woman of color. The result of this is that they would feel that they are being spoken down upon by the filthy immigrants that have arrived to steal their jobs, the ones that have been given a hand whilst they are just left in the dirt.

The north breathes hard sturdy working class men like no other region in England, everywhere had down and outs, but it’s not our fault that our unemployment has skyrocketed. Now from an employers POV the less I pay, the more there is for me. According to state, 70-80 % nurses are non-English. My dad is a doctor and he's non-White too. Now people in council estate need to realise that hatred and going the bad path is the way forward. It's all got to do in the end with who actually want a change in their lifestyle. Britain is a multi-cultural nation and wether if one accepts it or rejects it, it's true. Kicking a particular race or religion isn't a solution it'll only create more problems than before. Imaging kicking all the foreign staff from NHS, public would be affected immensely to be seen by a doctor. Thanks for the biased media we get deluded and support the lies. It's all about parenting it's always about parenting. I grew up in a council house where most days of the week there wasn't any food in the house becuase my parents had 4 kids and only my dad worked. The biggest aspiration anybody had in my family was to have kids of their own. My sister had 2 before she was 20 and they couldnt have been prouder. I saw so many traps that i could have fallen into, crime, economic depression, drugs. I moved out at an early age and went to university and have done well for myself but i find it hard to not resent my parents for the lack of support over the years. It's the same story for a lot of working class kids but not all make it out the way i did. I was a different person back then, it's hard to escape that mentality and find some ambition and drive

      I see where you are coming from . i grew up in a broken home and my parents left me to my own vices before i hit my teens. no community , no social structure. Operating in this world without being socialized is very hard. Being unemployable ; i had to volunteer and then build all my life lessons working for minimum wage in a kitchen. I was never very academically successful but sometimes I think studying is a learned skill and being in a better environment , with the right encouragement/values i could of done better for myself.
      my pops also had an aversion to teaching me things. I think with many established working class blokes value is so hard to come by they hoard it wherever they can find it.

    BBC are portraying them like this to get their message across - the fact is we have an immigration problem. We should be reaching out to these areas (every country has their not so nice areas and poverty) instead of focusing on immigrants. We could reach out to these areas and bring back industry while improving education in these areas to give them the skills they need however the current government do not want to and want to focus on important thousands and thousands of immigrates when we have our own folk to sort out.

      Don’t be fooled by the Govt in thinking that resources are going to immigrants instead of poorer Brits. Look at the British cabinet right now. They are mostly wealthy, privately educated and upper class men. They are cutting benefits for the poor and giving the rich (ie them) tax breaks at the same time. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that money that could be taxed from the rich and given to the poor is being kept by the rich or poorly managed. For example: more than half of Conservative MP’s are landlords- they recently blocked a bill that would’ve outlawed substandard living conditions in the rental market! This literally means they don’t care if the poor have to rent shit housing as long as they get money. The whole “blame the immigrants” narrative suits the Tory government and gives the poor a scapegoat. In previous times the scapegoat has been the EU. Now look...

    •  5 лет назад

      70% of the NHS is built up of immigrants

    • @johnjohansson6277
      @johnjohansson6277 5 лет назад +1

      The problem is they blame immigrants and NOT the Tory Govt that continually cuts their resources while giving the rich tax cuts. It’s suits the elites to have a scapegoat (ie immigrants) to blame for the problems they create.

      They should be give food vouchers for cheap tesco value items and they should make em clean the streets, schools, old ppls home etc to earn their benefits. If this is done I guarantee ppl on benefits will be halfed within a few weeks.

For once I can tell you that although Poland is a poorer country we have never had such behaviour and such white chav ghettos like you have. So maybe something's wrong with the elitist system you have that is creating such people. It amazes me how people who have never stuck their nose out of their country, never learned about other cultures still assume they are better than anyone else and feel so entitled. Fact is, your country is going down and everyone who has some wit left will be out of there asap - which is happening. In the end you will have only yourselves to blame.

      It's down to culture - a lack of respect for knowledge, betterment or education - If you listen to Chris Rocks set about 'N***** and black people' it is exactly the same - if you wanted to hide your money in your house - you could hide it in a book because you can bet your life that none of these have ever read a book in their life - this was fine not so long ago, there was factories, mines, work - you left school at 15 and started work the following Monday - there was no need for people to educate themselves to go forward - but now they have to and though most people have got the memo - there is still a significant minority who refuse to see the light - so it's easier to blame people who are self-reliant (immigrants..) than reflect on themselves.
      In the UK STILL - you have access to many educational and vocational courses up and down the country in many FE colleges that are either heavily subsidised or free that can lead to further opportunities, do you think any of these partake? No - they don't and they won't because there is still a vacuum they can enter where they can blame immigrants and they're catered to. The facts are that immigration has been the favourite dog whistle for idiots since the sixties when the immigrant population was in their hundreds of thousands.
      The culture needs to change and their attitudes to self improvement and education. I wanted to be world heavyweight boxing champion as a kid but education was the only way out of the estate I was holed up in. All these people have big dreams of making it out but they will usually be nonsensical - the only way forward for us all is to pick up a book and start learning.
