Great video. It’s concise and tells the story completely. Based on your tests, my conclusion is the same as yours. I plan to stay with 15 watts charging for now until something changes in battery tech. I almost never run my phone to zero. Usually I charge 40% to 90%, and your test shows that times between those two markers are essentially identical for all three chargers. Kudos and thanks!
Agreed. I like the super fast charge for first 30 minutes on 25W and 45W. It's a big plus. But it's not worth switching when I charge my phone overnight with 15W
@@filipjtech I have set a Bixby routine where every night at 11pm it deactivates Fast Charging in the settings and it activated it back during the day. This way I charge slowly overnight and if needed during the day I can use that speedup at work.
@Filip Tech I understand that, but 45w charger is very fast charging from 0% to 60% battery compared to 25w charger. For busy business me, this is meaningful, so I use 45w. price gap is 17 USD in Korea (35- 18= 17), plus pride of having 45w in advance. 😆
Bro you have to use 5 amp cable to get full speed from 45w. Don't use the cable which comes with the phone. You have to buy the cable seperately with 45w charger
What up though! lol...I'm with you...I still have my 15W charger and to save 10 minutes is not worth the price for either the 25W or the 45W...Overall, I'll stick with my 15W charger... :) Great review!!
Agreed it does charge slower when using it. But most people charge their phones over night. 15 minute charge is not a big enough difference for most people to switch
This test is a fail IMO. He is not using a 5A cable on the 45W charger. Therefore, does not show the (Super fast charging 2.0). Or, perhaps, either on the More battery settings, was not enable the (Fast charging). Folks, unfortunately, the cable that comes with the S23 Ultra is only 3A.
Thank you. This is a great video. I myself find that the Super Fast chargers are unreliable and sometimes the final 20% can take much longer than expected and end up being slower than the 15W. I think you graph also shows that they slow down significantly after 80%, while the 15W does not slow as much. I have Super Fast charged to 80 and then switched for the rest of the charge for best overall results.
They slow down after 80 percent to extend the battery life by not heating the battery too much. Pixel does the same. In fact, you should try not to charge your phone above 80% if you want to use it for many years.
You tested 3 chargers on the S22 device and it only accepts fast charging up to 25w, which is incorrect. Try it with a device that accepts fast charging 45w like Note 10+, S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra,...
When i was at home in weekends and when comeback from office. I have lots of time to charge my phone. I personally disable the fast charging under the settings and charge the phone at normal speed. And set the limit of 85% charging. From 85 to 100 will not change anything in my life so its better i will keep my device healthy
Thanks for the video! Was gonna buy a 25W charger but it's only 11 minutes off my 15W. It's not worth the hassle of "upgrading" if I'm just saving 11 minutes.

just found this video. motorolas can tell which is which when you connect them. just use the cheapest one that lets you charge rapidly. it will say it when you look at the settings in your phone. 20-25W will do fine for it to go on "turbo power"
Everytime you start the screen it will go down to around 18 watt. I saw that in a video last year where a guy was testing the 45 watt charger from Samsung on the s22u with a watt measurement equipment. This could explain why this test with always on display with percentage numbers has a faster time (58 minutes): ruclips.net/video/d2rfrgxbQMk/видео.html
Using the phone or having always on display will DEFINTELY slow down your charging speed! If I didn't turn on the screen every 5 minutes, the phone would've been charged a couple minutes sooner than current times.
In my testing, the 25W provides 27.5W, and the phone only draws 30W max from the 45W charger. It’s a total scam. Class action suit worthy, in my opinion.

Once i enabled it, i immediately noticed a massive difference in charging speeds. Most of the phones ive had since then, if not all of them, ive had to go into the battery settings and manually enable the "fast charging" option. I also had to manually enable the "fast wireless charging" option as both of them were disabled and just charging like it would with a "non-fast" charger.

if a phone supports max of 45w charging it wont charge more than that even if u use 100w charger. i have 25w charger and its completely fine for me so i recommend going with that considering the fact that 25 and 45w chargers charge pretty much the same. and i also have s22+
No the phone won't heat up since it's rated up to that 45W value. It won't exceed it. You can go with either 25W or 45W depending how fast you want to be charging
@@filipjtechso a 15w charger won't work?
ALSO CAN U PLS SUGGEST ME SOME GOOD ANTI YELLOWING CLEAR CASES FOR MY S22 PLUS
It's hard to find clear cases that won't yellow after several months, even if manufacturer says anti-yellow
Still using my 15 watt charger from my old S8 on my S23 Ultra
I am on the same boat
Did you use a 5Amp cable with the 45w charger?

Is the 45w charger the new 2.0 version
It's the latest one from the Samsung store
Did you use a compatible 5a cable? If not you will not get the 45 watt speed. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
@@alexmackey335 When you buy the 45W charger it comes with a separate USB C cable. It's thicker and longer than the regular one which comes in the phone box. You can see the port difference in video
@@filipjtechit's come with 5.A 1.5meter C2C cabile, and made original vietnam..
