As a person who was born in the 70's you always impress me so much with your knowledge and dedication to the vintage dolls considering your age, I am a Barbie dealer and have my own private collection and have nearly all the 80;s dolls and every Jem doll in and out of box, I also have a huge Vintage Strawberry Shortcake collection as well. I like you, love dolls and I want to thank you for showing so much love, and dedication to the craft and your videos. I also have Cabbage Patch from my childhood, and a pony as well, I was devastated when I found out the scandal behind Xaviar Roberts, so sad Much love to you, and your family. ❤

I'm so happy to see your comments turned on so I can tell you how much I have loved your channel since I found you in 2020. I had bought several dolls at garage sales and learned how to clean and repair them from you. Since then there have been lots of dolls through my craft room having their spa days and their clothes washed or replaced. I donate most of them to a church nearby that has a little store full of clothing and household needs that they give away for free to people in need. It feels so good to make dollies available for little girls to enjoy. I certainly enjoy the process of cleaning and rehabbing them. I'm in my mid sixties and still love to play with dolls. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise! I love watching you sisters together.

Hi Shelley,Hi Colleen,The 80s was my favorite decade to.Not just for dolls. There also music like rock band Culture Club, but mainly because my little Sister SueBaby grew up in 80s.I was her playmate. She love playing with her Barbie dolls. She made up a game base on the old show Mork and Mindy.Rocker Derek was Sork an alien,Rocker Dana was his earth wife Susie beach blast Skipper was her daughter by a previous relationship the rest Rockers Barbie,Ken,Dee Dee and Diva was their half alien children he gave birth to.Sometime she put dress on Derek and say holidays on planet the men wear dresses and women wear nothing.I know it such silly game. But we had blast playing.I hope don't mind me. Sharing it with you. 13:01

I have just wanted to say how much your vids have helped me💜💜💜💜. I go back to your vids to identify dolls, i listen and clean my dolls when you have the long form vids. Most importantly i wanted yo tell you that i love you and your sister’s bond. Having lost my older sister coming up on 4 years ago now (and i have also lost both parents), it gives me comfort to see close sisters Edit: coleco was pronounced ’kah-Lee-koh’ and i remember no one liked martha’s dolls bc we thought they were ‘knock offs’ lol though they were more expensive. One of my good friends had a strawberry shortcake record even when we wrestled in highschool. Ss was popular in the early 80s when i was 6. They were scented. The nostalgia!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad that my videos could help you out. I'm so very sorry that you lost your sister and your parents. I can't even begin to imagine what that must be like. It's so funny because that's how I was pronouncing Coleco, but then I heard other people say it differently (and I tend to mispronounce names). I see the Martha dolls from time to time used. They just aren't as cute as the Cabbage Patch Kids, even though they are technically the originals.

My favorite dolls you showed are the Strawberry Shortcakes! I have several from this era, and they are so charming. There are a bunch of 80's dolls that I loved that you don't collect. Rainbow Brite was huge for me as a kid, I still have my Indigo. And I adored Moondreamers (gotta love those 80's gimmicks, their hair glowed in the dark) - I still have my two dolls from childhood and have acquired more since then. The ones I don't have anymore and I regret donating were my Lady LovelyLocks dolls - so fun!
As for Barbie, I don't have any of my childhood ones, but I remember the Beach Blast Birthday in third grade - my birthday is in the fall and I swear I got most of the line of dolls (probably because my birthday is int he fall so the beach dolls were on sale or in discount stores)

Many people that collect Barbie Dolls always say that the 1980's Barbies were some of the most beautiful Barbies ever created as far as their faces and their clothes fashion designs especially the 1984 Peaches & Cream Barbie. The Peaches & Cream Barbie is very expensive though if you buy her new and mint in her original box and depending on the EBay seller and condition of both doll and box she will cost between $200 to $400 Mint and never removed from box so most people just buy a used loose from box version in the best condition they can find.

They definitely are some of the most beautiful dolls ever made! It's crazy how much some of them sell for boxed, but sometimes there are deals :)

Other popular toys that were doll like/animal based from the 80s were My Little Pony and Poochie (which i pray Mattel brings back)! Such a great vid!

My first cat of my very own as a child was named Custard. I know you two will understand why I picked that name. I was born in the late 70's. She lived a long life. She watched me grow up and become a mother myself. Oh BTW she was a real cat.

Aw, it's so cute you named your cat after Strawberry Shortcake's! I'm glad your kitty lived such a long life :)
