      Patient Care Technicians are not required to take an English language exam (like IELTS) if planning on working in the U.S. However, it is a good idea to take a practice English language exam if preparing to work in the U.S. to be as prepared as possible.

    I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and in Saudi Arabia, with 7 years worked experienced in Saudi Arabia. I am here in US but still can't apply as a CNA because I need to take the training, every time I search for a job as Nursing technician or CNA, the requirements must have CNA certificate which I don't have, I'm a little bit frustrated. I want to work while preparing for my NCLEX-RN but it seems I couldn't find any health care profession, I am thinking of just to apply as a cashier in any groceries out there for a while, please help, thanks!

    I actually applied for nurse aide, I have gone through the interview and finally received a congratulations offer letter and I'm actually at stage 3 on the immigration road map. My question is how long can the whole process take?

      @@raghuveerkamalakar7836 The immigration process for foreign RNs (including Danish citizens) is approximately 12-18 months from job offer acceptance to arrival in the U.S. if they have already completed NCLEX and the IELTS English language exam.

      Yes - with the exception of experienced dialysis nurses who are welcome to apply before completing the NCLEX-RN exam. All RNs must have passed the NCLEX-RN exam to work as a RN in the United States, but we do work with a dialysis employer who will consider those applicants who have not yet done so - even though it will need to be completed later in the immigration process. If you have scheduled your NCLEX and received your ATT, you are also welcome to provide that in addition to your resume for our recruiting team to follow-up with you.

      @@raheelanadeem9574 For Nurse Aides already being processed, we are seeing progress in the processing time period as they advance to the next stages. The estimated total timeline for Nurse Aides once they receive and accept a job offer is 18-24 months to arrival in the U.S.

NCLEX can be completed after the job interview. All other nursing specialties need to have already taken and passed the NCLEX-RN exam.

      Nurse Aides do not need to complete an English language test, but fluency in reading, writing and speaking English is required.

      There is currently a wait list to apply for a Nursing Assistant position due to a large number of applications already received. However, we are currently interviewing nurses who have passed the NCLEX-RN exam, experienced Dialysis nurses and Medical Laboratory Technologists now. 1-3 years minimum in-patient bedside experience is required to apply.

      Indian nationals will need a previous priority date of 2013 or earlier based upon the current U.S. visa bulletin to apply.

      We thank you for your patience as we also eagerly wait to hear back from the DOL. We are seeing some progress, however the DOL has recently stated that they are understaffed and working with limited resources as they continue to move forward with a large number of immigration petitions.
