My favourite black bottle is the Andean Oak. 46.3% abv £21 a bottle on Amazon now. Non-chill filtered & natural colour 👏👍

I'd probably give it a miss if I were you. I like it for the price, but I doubt you'd reach for it often if you had it
Not long finished a bottle of the Double Oak version. Nice enough for a starter dram and a healthy 46.3%abv. I'm intrigued to see how yours got on in the blind tasting .. will give it a watch. 🥃🌾

Yeah man absolutely worth it for that price. I once tried an old Black Bottle and it was super smoky super strong but these ones are good for when you're in that mood as well. Cheers 🥃
I think that's it, when you're in the mood. It doesn't need to be mind blowing, just decent and certainly not crap
With those cheap whiskies that never seem to hit the spot or any spot for that matter.
I was being too kind by keeping them in the cupboard but they were also turning into a burden/annoyance just sitting there, so I just made the decision to chuck them out. Best decision ever.

Yes I could up-blend them but have enough of those projects ongoing at the moment. Out of sight out of mind just didn't work for these.
The middle of the ground whiskies will replace them if somebody comes around and wants something inoffensive.
To be honest, it was an easy kill because I had very little left after the blind tasting, but a full bottle would have been on my shelf for a long time otherwise
Good to hear your take on this but not one I'll be seeking out. Plenty of other guard whiskies on my shelf if required.

I had a bottle of this, oh let’s say 20 years ago. I remember it was a great value and quite good for a blend.
I'd love to be able to try one from 20 years ago Vs now!

Sliding in as a first commenter, again. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this bottle. My previous experience with Black Bottle did not make me eager to come back to it. Decent blend for the price. Cheers, Vin!
Yeah the standard BB is not a good place to start (or continue with haha), but the slightly more expensive ones are quite nice. Especially the Alchemy series
