Howdy Vin, glad you liked the Madeira finish. I've had a sample of their 15yo Madeira finish opened for two months now and it's gotten better and better so yours might too. The tasting note that you can bank every single time in Madeira aged whiskies is biscuit. Always shows up for me, and if you remember when visiting Torabhaig, they had a club bottling Madeira finish up there. Very biscuity.
Would like to see a comparison between the Glencadam and the Arran Amarone. Also the Glencadam 15 yo reserva de Madeira against the non-age statement expression. Maybe ones for the future. Anyway the world is a much better place with Glencadam whisky in it!
@@mcarter15 I agree the Arran Amarone is fantastic. Not tried the Glencadam 15yo Madeira as it’s a bit pricey…around £100 😳, but would like to try the NAS.
Generally love everything Glencadam produce, especially their PX sherry which didnt last long once opened and their port matured bottles. Arran Amarone is fab as is the Edradour 12 YO Madeira which is fully matured in 1st fill rather than a finish.
Hi Vin. As far as I understand this reserve range are between 4 and 8 years old including a finish between 18 and 24 months in FF casks ( at the moment). I’ve got the white port version ( still closed). Also good specs and a decent price. Slàinte Vin. P.S checkout the uncut, unfiltered podcast withe Glencadam’s master blender.
Just based on the spec and the Glencadam 10, 15 and the NAS sherry,, would have bought these blind. And, thanks to your review, I will do so as soon as they show up in my market. Thanks for the solid review!

Would definitely like to see that. Love the Arran Amarone, I just gets bags and bags of chocolate from it and it is fantastic.

Black forest is a trigger for me, and not just for whisky. Cheesecake, sweets biscuits anything really
I tend to lean more towards savoury in food, but for some reason I really like sweet whisky, go figure
Looking forward to trying them.
Well worth a shot if you can

The big problem with these Glencadams is they're such easy drinking that the bottles are gone so quickly!

@@davidowen2834 The white port finish is lovely, lots of orchard fruits, lemon meringue, apricot jam…what’s not to like!
