I finally cleaned my printer and I’m so excited I got through it. You made it look easy but my printer is different from yours!! Same products from the same company. I love your videos!!
I've had this one for about 3 years, I had to replace my old one because I got a bad clog in it (didn't print test pages for a few weeks) and couldn't get it out!
I have a Canon Pixma TR8620a printer and recently refilled the refillable ink cartridges but I cannot print because the ink level detection is saying ink is out. How can I fix this issue?
Hello thank you so much for the video I have been refilling them wrong 😵 just wondering also why do we need to change cartriges after refilling them 3 times?
shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1817175&u=2948238&m=113258&urllink=&afftrack= Here's my link to the site where I get all of my stuff. It's not just food coloring. It's special edible ink made for these printers. If you use regular food coloring, it won't work. Once you get to the main page, click on EDIBLE INK and there will be a lot of options for you!
It's a special printer used only to print edible images. You cannot put edible ink cartridges in a regular printer that has had toxic ink running through it as there is still toxic ink in the system and someone could get really sick if they eat that. So you must invest in a completely separate system for your edible printing!
@@aaronromero7723 sorry I wasn't clear! There is a link underneath that, it says ICING IMAGES WEBSITE. It will take you to the website where you can get the edible printing supplies!
@@aaronromero7723 I think what you wanted to know, is it IS a regular printer. But it needs to be brand new and never have regular toxic ink running thru. So brand new regular printer with edible ink and edible paper. I was super confused before also. Wondering if it was like some special edible printer. But they are in fact regular printers used for edible purposes.
It is edible ink. So it's edible food coloring in there. You can't print edible images with regular printer ink because it's toxic and it could harm you if consumed.
I am not sure if you will see this comment or even respond, but hopefully so. My question is does the refillable edible ink have to be compatible to the kind of printer you have as well or as long as its edible ink its fine?
Hi! The edible ink isn't what matters, it's the cartridges that the ink is in. Those must be compatible with your printer or they won't fit. When you order them, you can put your printer model in and they will let you know what size to get!
@@quiwannaarrington7143 Yes any edible ink should be able to go in the cartridges. You just have to make sure you only refill them three times before you replace them!
Hmmm, I really haven't had to store them because I'm at a point where I am printing every week. There are orange clips that come with the cartridges that you can clip back onto them, which help to protect the sponge from drying out. I would also wrap them up in plastic wrap and put them in a ziplock bag. The only issue is that the printer head will still have ink in it, so if you're not going to print, you'll want to clean out the printer head or else it will clog and you won't be able to use it. I just posted a video the other day on how I clean my printer head so you can see the process for that. :)
Hmmm, I only know how Icing Image cartridge clips work. It doesn't sound like your cartridges are from there. Have you tried contacting the company you purchased them from?
No. I never do more than 3. Because the sponges can start to dry out and it can cause issues with the printer. It's best to just do what they recommend!
Your edible image/ink videos have helped me so much today! Thank youuu!❤

Thank you ☺️☺️
I’m glad you got it clean! There is some maintenance that is involved with owning a system like this, but it is totally worth it!
Do you use regular paper or do you use edible paper to print every week just to keep the cartridges from drying out?
Ahhhh I should have mentioned that! I print the tester on regular paper so I don't waste the icing sheets. :)
What about your cannon 702?
🤣 just came across your channel. You're cool and funny!
And you’re my new favorite person! 🤣🤣 Thank you! 🥰
Hiya Karolyn may I ask how long you've had your printer please ❤️

The sponges can start to dry out after time so it’s best to discard them after 3 refills so you don’t encounter issues. ☺️
@@KarolynsKakes thank you so much. Can you also one day do a video on how to get pictures from the net and how we edit them etc 🙏
Where are you buying he refill inks with that nozzle, it is just food coloring and a nozzle bottle or a special refill, thanks

Is that edible ink or does it matter what ink you use
It is edible ink. So it's edible food coloring in there. You can't print edible images with regular printer ink because it's toxic and it could harm you if consumed.
Why do I keep getting the message that my ink cartridges are low even though I refilled them?
Some chips on the cartridges can't be reset and show low levels after being refilled.

I’m putting my clip on and is coming out the end
What can happen if you fill the cartridge more than 3/4 full? Thank you❤
There's a chance of leakage and you don't want that to happen!
Where do you find the tops with needles to fill the ink cartridges?
They come with the refill ink bottles!
Should I clean the print head before refilling the ink?
You can refill the ink without cleaning the print head. I only clean the print head if it gets clogged.
Do you stored the ink in the fridge?
No need to refrigerate the ink. I just keep it in a drawer at room temperature.

The needles come with the refill kit! I got mine at IcingImages.com
What if you no longer have the orange pieces
Ugh, it will be really hard because the ink will start to leak. You can try to put it on a paper towel. But you really do need to save those pieces!
Maybe you could order more cartridges, since you will need them in the future anyway, and use those oranges things.
