    Shouldn't there be a concern for copyright laws if you just go on the web for images? My experience at a commercial chain's bakery was using a contractual system with Decopac. We were forbidden to print or decorate anything brought in or requested by customers that is copyrighted and not in the Decopac catalog.

      @@KarolynsKakes can you recommend an Edible image printer for someone just starting out that may not be to expensive please?

    • @KarolynsKakes
      @KarolynsKakes  2 года назад +1

      @@berthaversetto8654 to be honest, icing images has really great prices. Ever since Covid, the costs of everything has increased. So while they do coat slightly more now, it still is a really good deal. To start, you will need to make the investment in a brand new printer, edible icing sheets, edible ink cartridges, and I would recommend having ink refills and a cleaning kit on hand. Icing images has bundles where you can get all of this together at a better price instead of purchasing them separately. I purchased their basic bundle and it is great quality!
      You can try to purchase everything separately but I’m not sure that it will save you money. And you have to be careful that you don’t purchase low quality products because you could have issues with them. (Bad icing sheets could get sticky or melt and make a big mess.). That’s why I stick with Icing images, I’ve never had issues with their products.
      If you’re not ready to make the investment and / or you don’t print too often, you can find someone to print the images you need and get them shipped to you.

    I am planning to buy an edible printer package from Icing Images next month and I have been watching videos trying to educate myself on edible printing ahead of time. Your videos are so clear and well done. Thank you for taking the time to make them. I read something the other day about jpeg and png images as well as pixels and how they affect the quality of edible images. The more I read the more confused I became. Could you tell me what to look for when googling for an image to print? Is there a way to know ahead of time if it will print clear and crisp without printing it ahead of time on regular paper? Thanks.

    • @KarolynsKakes
      @KarolynsKakes  2 года назад

      Larger images print better. In a Google search, you can click images - tools - size and click large. Those always print the best for me. However, I have printed smaller ones. If they don't look blurry on the screen, then generally they print clear as well!

    • @KarolynsKakes

      You could be having condensation issues. If you take the cake out of the fridge and put it in a warm room (without air conditioning), then condensation will form on the cake and the image will bleed. I always keep my house cold and I usually put my images on a piece of fondant so it protects the image from getting ruined.
