    Thankyou for your video.
    Can I just ask, how long can the image be placed on the cake & be left in the fridge for? Can I decorate the cake & put the image on & leave it in the fridge for 24 hrs?

    Hello..i have a doubt wether this is a wafer type edible paper? I bought an edible paper for the cake and even though it is mentioned as made with sugar it tastes sugarless and similar to wafer. It needs to be applied as same as you have shown. Hence i wanted to know if the paper you use is as same as mine.

      Also to prevent your buttercream from turning yellow, try using white vanilla extract its clear and it won't discolor your buttercream. I hope that helps. 😊

      Hi, yes it came that way as I purchased it as a 7.5-round edible image or icing sheet as it's also called. You can print any image yourself using edible ink and a printer designated for edible images only or purchase an image on etsy and sometimes amazon. I hope that answers your question.

    • @LegacyCakery
      @LegacyCakery  4 года назад

      Hi Diana, Thank you for your comment, I only use butter in my American buttercream but a very high-fat content like French butter, Kerri gold is good as well as Finlandia. I hope that helps, The greasiness may breakdown the edible paper a little faster but make sure the cake is well chilled before putting on the edible image and it should be fine. You may want to do a test first before putting on the real image to be sure.

    Can we use Whipped Cream instead of butter cream?

    • @LegacyCakery
      @LegacyCakery  3 года назад

      i personally haven't tried it with whipped cream so I am not sure. From doing a bit of research online from sugarshack.co.uk
      Various frostings can be used such as buttercream, store-bought frosting, icings, fondant, whipped cream or non-dairy topping, fudge, chocolate, and even frozen ice cream cakes. Buttercream and fondant will produce the best results, whipped cream or non-dairy topping can cause the image to fade a bit if left in the refrigerator overnight; the consistency of whipped cream is thin therefore the edible inks tend to sink into the cream.

    • @ayshaiqbalhaneef3112
      @ayshaiqbalhaneef3112 3 года назад

      I would suggest, if you want place print on whipping cream..place on crumb coat.
      After doing all other frosting job place the print and do borders. Also, try to use the cake asap after placing the print

    • @LegacyCakery

      It's actually icing sheets. when I looked it up online, Icing sheets are made of a very thin layer of icing pressed against a backing paper. The backing paper allows the printer to feed the icing paper without issue. The backing sheet can be made from clear plastic acetate sheets or gloss-treated paper.

      I think she’s talking about putting it in the fridge after you do the crumb coat, before you do the second layer of icing and then apply your image. It just makes sure that you lock all the crumbs in so they don’t show through your second layer of icing. After second layer & applying image, you can leave the cake on the counter it doesn’t have to be refrigerated. That’s what I do anyways. Hope that was helpful!
