Those men are Jesus's Apostles. They walked with Jesus and wrote down everything HE said. One day the nay sayers will learn. My fave is King Jimmy, but switch between the Septuagint, ERV, ESV, Easy Read, ASV, Catholic and i've read many obscure versions. My latest one is the Bullinger Companion with all his notes. Fascinating. My opinion is to have a concordance. Once I learned the concordance, then b0000m...the bible exploded for me. Its like reading the newspaper.
The NIV bible is very faithful to the original languages and was translated by godly men. I knew one. He was my professor in college. Humble and scholarly. A difficult combination to maintain. But he did.
Relationship not Religion. Its something too many Christians stumble on. I'm grateful my family left our church when we did bc it made me study independently and boy when i did that did my relationship with Jesus flower. I use the King James Bible because I believe it is important to have the whole council of God, but I won't judge someone or say they are not saved if they don't use the King James Bible. Often I reply to Catholics I talk to online with the Douay Rheims bible because they do not accept the King James Bible as an authority since it has no imprimatur of the Catholic church nor contains the Apocrypha.
Some of the "removed" vs are because they are interpolations. Essentially older text were discovered and we figured out that some of what we thought were scriptures were really some dudes notes. So really versions that take some scripture out like the nkjv are more faithful to author than older versions like the kjv.... however the differences are very minor. Some of the ones left in because of tradition however aren't so minor.
Why isn’t it just straight forward then and instead written almost cryptic to where it can be convincingly interpreted many different ways? Its like giving someone a puzzle that can be solved in many different ways and telling them it’s only right if they solve it the way you want them to but not telling them what that way specifically is.
Also when you said 22 verses were you meaning the 22 books of the apocrypha? I'm pretty sure you are. the reason they took it out because they believe they were forgeries, that came I think what was said was between 200 and 400 years later. so thats why they took it out was because they believed it to be a forgeries and didn't want it to be an issue later. But if I'm wrong on what your talking about could you put down the ones that were removed so I can check my bibles to see if it's in there just curious God bless and have a good one.
Jesus is the truth, the devil is a liar according to the Bible... I like side by side kjv and nlt Bible because nlt Is easier to understand in modern English but if it doesn't quite line up with kjv. I don't know Greek or Hebrew languages just yet... also like he and the Holy Bible states the Holy Spirit will help you as well! My Mom had some advice on reading the Bible and that is simply to pray before you read! ❤

I believe that christians believe what they preach but I don’t think it’s true. You can be taught false information without being deceived.
