Skeet Ulrich (Scream, Jericho) joins us this week and shares crazy experiences from his childhood like getting life saving open heart surgery at age 10 and being kidnapped by his father at age 6. Skeet talks about his journey in the Scream franchise, his bond with the cast and crew, and one story where he almost spoiled the crazy reveal by doing press before it was released. We also talk about his outlook on life after kicking booze, reflecting on his broken upbringing after becoming a father, and how close Jericho was to actually coming back on a major streamer.

Pfft. Skeet's little dig at Joshua Jackson is gold. He's hilarious and off-the-cuff... when he's allowed to speak!
Always thought he was a highly underrated actor
What happened to him? I expected more movies from him as well.
They don’t look alike these days - but in the early days I thought he was Johnny Depp. 😂
Me too
its the facial bone structure but they have both aged and their faces have filled out. both terrific actors
He was referred to as baby Depp.
Omg same me too
They never did look alike.
Oh man, I loved Wes Craven movies. Good to hear he was as fun to work with as I imagined!
Love this dude in everything he does. For me, he’s just one of those actors
I wanna hear all of the stories about Cursed. What an absurd situation
same here i'm gonna get stoned for this but i liked Cursed but hear me out i liked the unrated version of it i refuse to watch the theatrical cut of it. now is it among my favorite films? hell no but i don't think it's among his best films either the people under the stairs is far better for example
It's not your business
@@rolandofgilead43 drugs are bad they kill
@rolandofgilead43 there's going to be a remake of PUTS I used to watch the original
@@ro-fz1jt I know and it's gonna suck that film is perfection why remake a classic?
Love Ulrich and Depp both are great actors but to me they're to different types of actors both great in their on way but to be compared to Johnny alone is a compliment js
Loved Jericho.
I honestly never got his comparisons to Johnny Depp.
i thought the same thing back when Scream Came out for me it was the hair & his eyes both are talented guys though.
They looked similar. That's about it. I think that's clearly why he was cast in Scream.
He looks nothing like Johnny Depp???? No Chance 🤔😂😂
@@Lmbrown63 today? No he doesn't and I never said he was his twin either I never got them mixed up either.
@@Lmbrown63 in scream he looked like Johnny circa…hmmm…like Gilbert grape era ? Idk but he did resemble him with the longer hair and “brooding” manner
brooooo Skeet??? Man that dude was such a badass when I was a kid lol the girls swooned
Cursed?! I was the animation supervisor at Sony Imageworks on that movie. I was a fan of Wes's movies. I came in late in the production, I was confused by the vibe in the room. Wes was so "over it" by that point. A Wes Craven werewolf movie? How cool would that have been?
Too bad it wasn't seen.
Wasnt the best movie but was ok😅
He looks incredible
It must have been irritating for him, after all as an actor you want to be remembered for what you brought to the role not how you look like someone else🙂
He never looked lime him. I remeber one og his first movie. My 1st thoughy was that he was hot. Not that he looked anything like johnny deep. I never seen that period and not sure how anyone came to the conculsion that he did. Never heard of him looking anything like depp until now.
Theres much worse things than being compared with one of the best actors around. But I can imagine it would be a little frustrating
I wish the guests talked more than the host on this podcast
I thought this was a conversation with Skeet Ulrich?
An actor has his own value and his own talent even if we can find similarities with others ones !! ❤❤💙💙
Skeet is one HOT MAN. JUST ABDOLUTELY GORGEOUS. Great guy
I'm not going to lie I like this character in Riverdale I don't even know why I watch it at 40-year-old man
Watch what you like dude. I watch bluey, sometimes not even with my kid.
No shame buddy!
Him and madchen made a good couple!
@@alimfuzzymy dad likes Bluey and he's in his 60s, all his kids are adults and out of the house lol, yeh enjoy whatever you want. I still re-watch Gilmore Girls why not.
@@dubiouswretch it is the #1 show in the world and makes up 1/3 of all of disney+
From the craft to as good as it gets to the forgotten series, miracles, I've always loved SU. I was also a big JD fan.
They DID look similar. I don't understand the people here denying it. They weren't identical & no one would get them confused but I was always waiting for them to be cast as brothers.
Certainly, they don't look alike these days.
Both are talented and I wish them both the best professionally and personally. I do feel like SU has been fairly underrated, but he's working consistently & I think most people who are paying attention respect his ability.
He's quite an interesting guy to listen to, I wouldn't have assumed that.
Logan Marshall-Green (Tom Hardy), Mark Strong (Stanley Tucci) and Skeet being considered low rent versions of other celebrities isn’t really that bad in my opinion. 😜
Low? Skeet is younger, healthier and doesn't have baggage of Amber Heard. Personally, Johnny is still hot, even with extra everything
Christian Slater was a low rent Jack Nicholson
@@jeffreysalley LEGit Was just discussing Christian slater with my husband ! He said “he looks like Jack nicholson to me” i honestly never seen it !
He also looks a lot like Logan Marshall-Green.
Johnny depp probably doesn’t also want another actor being compared to him , Mr. Depp probably respects the craft of any actor and he knows how it feels to be compared to someone else. Just people outside of acting business take away from an actors hard work.
He freakin’ got compared to Johnny Depp was because he looked just like him.
I thought it was Johnny Depp in As Good As It Gets 😅
It’s funny cause they cut that line out in the original “Scream” and Hollywood has an originality problems. It’s sad to see when one actor is successful so every studio wants their version of “said actor” down to the physical detail, this still goes on today, but it’s starting to show cause audiences are callings it out more. All this Scream talk makes hope you get some of your Urban Legend costars on.
i love Urban Legend i wonder what he thinks of it? he has spoken about it but not really in detail on what he thought of the end product.
@@rolandofgilead43 Yes, exactly he should go into the production of it. I know the Scream Factory did interviews with Alicia Witt and Rebecca Gayheart. I wish he’d bring them on to the show
@@icaliver I have the (1999) dvd and it has a making of... he's in it and it looks like he was having fun to be honest. But that was than this is now.
It was an annoying comparison in the early days! Maybe the haircut/color? mayb the cheekbones
Back in the days he did look like JD. Now he don't even look like himself.
Yo i know Allison Mack has a bit of a rocky past and did some bad stuff, but she did pay for her crimes and such have you guys considered interviewing her and giving her a chance to talk about her character and stuff in Smallville. I think every person deserves a chance for redemption including Allison, despite everything that happened. You guys should reach out to her. It would definitely spark ratings too to have her on.
do you know how many lives she ruined? if your friend set you up to get r@ped would you be okay giving them a second chance? 🤦♂️
Who????????
Nah
I've never heard of Skeet being compared to JD, nor should he be. He doesn't come close to Johnny's talent, charisma, or sex appeal. Most people don't even know Skeet's name, I can't think of a single movie he's been in. IF anyone ever compared him to JD he should be thanking his lucky stars for the HUGE compliment.
Never never. Compared to Johnny Depp never no disrespect
