Skeet Ulrich (Scream, Jericho) joins us this week and shares crazy experiences from his childhood like getting life saving open heart surgery at age 10 and being kidnapped by his father at age 6. Skeet talks about his journey in the Scream franchise, his bond with the cast and crew, and one story where he almost spoiled the crazy reveal by doing press before it was released. We also talk about his outlook on life after kicking booze, reflecting on his broken upbringing after becoming a father, and how close Jericho was to actually coming back on a major streamer.

Skeet had a crazier childhood than Billy did in Scream 🤯

I was an extra on the show Jericho with Skeet and he was a very nice and down to earth person who treated everyone with respect and it was very easy working on the set with him. There are people who never went through anything in life and treat people like trash and he did the exact opposite considering his struggles and now I have even much more respect for him, I wish him the best of luck in this industry which is extremely stressful.

That little skit Michael & "Skeeter" do at the end is hilarious.

That’s how bad the laws protecting women and children were in the 70s and early 80s--!!!

Well, a parent just picking up their child, when it’s not the agreed upon days, it can be kidnapping.
When there are no custody established, the birth father could just take the child.
It was legal. She would’ve had to go through a lot, and sadly, if she hadn’t established custodial rights, the FEDs wouldn’t have went looking for them, regardless of leaning the state.
It was still this way, even in the early 2000’s.
Unless you’ve been to court, establishing custody times, the birth parent could pick the kid up whenever they want.
If the parent just had better lawyers, and more money to fight it, the other would likely lose, or go broke trying to get custody.
It’s all sketchy, but that’s why unmarried couples, are told they need to establish custodial parent, child support, visitation schedule, etc. as soon as possible.

“My brother was 10 months older than me. He got a streak of grey hair at 16 from being my dad for 10 years.” Skeet, I think you mean your brother was your father’s son for 10 more years.

I'm sick of it being called kidnapping when a parent has their child. That term needs to be only applied when its a stranger or the government taking a child from their home.

2 sides to every story... his Dad may struggle with communication...maybe he should give his Dad longer than an hour :-)
