Imagine singing like that, and playing lead guitar? And being part of most of the greatest songs of the ninetees? When there was a lot of competition? Untouchable❤
Such an underrated song, album, band and lyricist. There’s something of a modern day Vincent Van Gogh in Richey Edwards. Under appreciated in his lifetime and tortured by the unseen demon of depression and alcoholism in a society that didn’t understand it at the time. Both will be remembered by the art they left behind. 💞🌻🌹

A masterclass in music and lyricism, these lad's will oneday be put on the same pedestals as Oscar wilde, dickens, dostoyevsky, Hugo et al! Aye he was too good for em anyway. Nicky likes having nice things. Real socialism and all, we all know blue collar, working class representation is owning several luxury fucking dyson's.
Read an interview from them when this album came out that got them alot of flak from the trendy papers (they really slagged off post crusties) and it always stayed with me. They were such bright contrary boys. While Blur were pouncing about pretending to be working class, the Manics sang and talked about unfashionable things that affected real peoples real lives. An also while Oasis just dig lowest common denominator the Manics weren't afraid to be bright. Great band.

For me it's the lyrics. It's like his ghost is still there, in that powerful poetry.
I genuinely think this is one of the greatest rock/pop songs ever recorded.
Ah the lonely existence of an American Manics fan.
all the more credit for having that good taste where it is rare
I'm glad I'm not the only one. It sucks to never get a chance to see your favorite band in concert. Maybe I'll take a trip to England someday.
