Bluetooth Audio streaming device for 2009 Infiniti G37

- This is a 30 pin bluetooth audio streaming device from Bovee. The beauty about this device is that you can use it with the existing ipod 30 pin cable that comes with your car. You plug in the bovee with your 30 pin cable, then it converts it into a bluetooth device.
Once the device plugged in, switch the screen into the ipod setting. You should be able to control the music contents from the screen. Also, you can use the steering wheel mounted control.
The downside of this device is the information will not display on the navigation screen if you have an Android, but you still can control your content from the steering wheel.
This device can help to save hundreds of dollars by not buying an expensive aftermarket head unit, and going to the audio installation shops.
Dude you're the only one that has posted a legit video for bluetooth in a G. Thanks man!
Shaded Echo anytime bro! Tell me about your G?!
Sorry for the late reply. But hey man my infiniti g37 2013 keeps saying "check connected device" on the usb tab of the screen. Any help??? I got the phone connected to the bluetooth just the car wont read it
Shaded Echo did you switch the setting to the ipod from the aux button?
Mr.Logic23 yeah man I dont know what else to do
Mr.Logic23 I even bought a 30 pin charger from apple. No difference
I’m in 2022 and just got my 2013 G37 all I did was played a song from Apple Music then jumped to RUclips or pandora and it was still working 💯

Just got a 09 g37s coupe with nav. Was disappointed to learn 09 or older models don’t come with Bluetooth audio capability :/ .. so I ordered this device hoping it works with just the cable.. I’ll post an update on how that goes.
Any update on that?
Alex Khalilieh yeah it’s
Working without the adapter just like in the video. Sometimes it won’t turn on immediately and will randomly come on as I take off but most of the time it will turn on 10-15 sec after turning the car on

Its usually 1234 or 0000

Will this work regardless of trim level of the car? I have an 09 G37x coupe. No technology package or navigation of anything
You find an answer to your question?
Andrew Joseph Nope
Dang, I was about to type another question but my first one was never answered. I'm trying to find out if this will work for youtube streaming as well or if its only using itunes... I also still want to know if they are all the same or if they are specific to auto makers even though they all look exactly the same
hi do u know how i can play music from my android in my 2011 infiniti G25? i have no BT or aux connection please help!
Thanks for the demo. Much appreciated.
Are you saying that your g37 has to have an iPod connection in order for it to work, or does it work through the USB portin the console storage compartment?
That usb port is an apple connection, if you run an apple device by cable it will work
Thanks! Question: is there any issue with the simultaneous Bluetooth connection with regards to phone calls? Does it mute on incoming calls? Also, what iPhone are you using? 7+?
AmongU hello! There are no issues and if you get an incoming call, the music will pause automatically. Once you are done with the phone call, the music will resume automatically. It works perfectly!
About the newer iPhones I am not sure. However, I can sit here and tell you that it worked with the iPhone 6 perfectly. The information displayed on the screen wonderfully. I was planning on getting an iPhone because of that!
Wow! Best response time I've experienced on RUclips ever!!!
My 2010 doesn't come with the 30 point plug, only USB plug ,do you know if this will still work ?
no i tried
You don't need it in a 2010 you have audio streaming connect your phone!
the 2010 does come with an ipod connection lol, its called a USB port, plug the 30 pin ipod cable into the adapter, then into the usb cable.
For those saying the 2010 has Bluetooth streaming already (yes it does, but it does not work correctly).
You can use this module to get audio steaming to work correctly again in your 2010 model. Just use the ipod charge cable and connect it to the usb port. It should recognize the dongle as an ipod when you go through the settings.
@@oneeyedrone4293 quick question I have 2017 Infiniti with usb port , which I use USB to 30 pin with old ipod , will this work ?
@@takinqover3593 Ya that should work, why not try it ? Ive used an older ipod and it just shows up once plugged into the usb port. The 2017 should have the correct protocol as all ipods should be compatible.
Does this device connect right away or does it take awhile to connect and start to play music?
Man... This is awesome! Thank you
SLW 4.6 anytime glad I could help.
I've seen these with and without the 30 pin cable. With the cables looking like the 90$ range. But I've seen a couple places that just have the unit and no cable for around $40. Which did you get? I'd like to save and use my stock cable of I can.
This Bovee did not work with my 2010. Apparently iPhone software doesn’t work in place of the older iPod in which these cars were built to accept. If you have another solution for me, please let me know!!
Can you still use the Bluetooth for phone calls since this is a separate Bluetooth channel?
yes it will work normally and pause the music while you handle the call.
Any idea why on my 2008 g37 the music only plays from the right side speakers in the car.
I brought this for my G and it says no usb memory any reason why?
Are all the Bovee Car Kits that have the 30 pin ipod port the same? i see mercedes, BMW, Audi, Infiniti and so many other ones but they all look exactly the same device with the 30pin ipod port in it.
Can I just get a screen from a 2010+ and swap for the blue tooth to work without wires?
That is a good question. I am not sure.
Does it make it quieter? I have the Bluetooth device that connects to the cigarette lighter and it’s loud but from time to time it goes quiet
I have a 2009 G37x and just tried the CarPro (a competitor to Bovee). While it successfully streams audio from my Android phone, the G37 audio console does not display Artist/Song/etc. I get what I see in your video (e.g. “123 123” on left, “Prev Prev Next Next” on right. Were you been able to successfully have Artist/Song display on the G37 audio console?
No, because it's an android device that's why you can't display the info. However, if you had an iPhone then you will see the info on the screen.
Does it work for the g35 I have that 30 pin adapter that plugs into the car
Get an aux cord adapter for the 2 audio prongs. I just got mine at wal mart for 15 bucks
Yes this will work for your car.
Its saying no device found, any advice?
Hey man my bovee 1000 does not power on at all do I need that extension thing 12v to 5v everyone is talking about?

Does it have any static ?
my USB port is broken will this work connected to the lighter port instead of usb
Can this be used in a 2008 g35 sports sedan?
yes
Doesn’t this models have Bluetooth already my 12 g37 had maps & came with Bluetooth , but my non nav doesn’t have Bluetooth or any of those features
Couple questions:
1) Does this work for non-nav systems?
2) Do you have to reconnect bluetooth every time you turn car on/off or does it auto reconnect?

I think it does work for the non navigation option as long as your car comes with that ipod cable option.
For your second question it should connect automatically, but sometimes it takes a while before it reconnects. There are times where you have to reconnect it manually.
@@ubiased23 Wow thanks for the quick reply! I have an 08 so it does have the ipod cable, will be trying this. Good stuff!

Thanks for the research and the video. Gonna check this out. I've been wanting a simple plug-in solution to play Bluetooth audio on my Android phone in my 2009 G37S Coupe.
Frank Waits I am glad to help out my fellow G37 owners. I will try to make a second video to demonstrate the audio quality of this device. Would you like a link to this device my friend?
I did find it on Amazon, but I'm reading that you also need a DockExtender type 30-pin cable to provide proper power to it as the built-in cable with the Infiniti doesn't charge the device. Did you find the same issue?
Frank Waits you have made a good point, because the manufacturer of this device have recommended the same thing for me. I'll be honest with you, I am currently using the device without the converter and it is working without any issues. The only issue I am having is that the device sometimes doesnt connect immediately and have to restart the process all over again. Sometimes the device connects immediately with no issues. That is what I have encountered so far.
I think that is what some of the reviewers who have Inifiniti's have said also and thus recommended the CableJive DockExtenders like this: ( www.amazon.com/CableJive-dockStubz-Converter-Functionality-Accessories/dp/B003TJR2HS ) to resolve the lag in powerup and what-not.
Oh. You need the Scosche PASSPORT 30 pin adapter. Apple changed the power spec in the past and this fixes it.
Does this work with the car lighter port?? not the usb
Quick question. Did you have to set your XM to channel 0 in order for your bovee to power on? Been trying all day to get this thing to work until i messed with xm to 0 then switched back to ipod menu and the bovee finally powered on. Was able to do this 3x restarting my car.
Hey man you still reply? How do you exactly switch ur xm to 0?
Do Apple Music songs show up on screen? I've been trying to figure this out since it's in the library but also technically streaming
Amanda Leigh Buster yes I did mention that in the video.

Hello Mr.Logic23 does the information from spotify show on the entertainment screen?
Sydney Ugwu it depends on that kind of phone you are using. If you are using samsung, then the information will not display on the screen. If you are using an iPhone then the answer is yes.
Mr.Logic23 okay thank you! another question: should you get the BoVee 3000WMA if you don’t have the 30 pin cable that came with the infiniti?
Can I change the Song from the Car Screen? Or I have to change it from my phone?
Does this only work for ipods? Or does it work with iPhones as well

whats the difference between the 1000 and 2000?

QUENTIN30 CDUB best of luck bro, let me know how it goes.
Mr.Logic23 just got it last week. Love it
Still didn't say what model or where you got it....
Hi, what are you using to power the bovee? Are you just using the factory iPod cord that came with the car?
Carlos Moreria what's up Carlos, to answer your question the bovee manufacture recommends to have the power cord with it. However, in my case I am using just the ipod cable that came with the car.
Holy shit. Great idea mate. Do you know if it plays audio from Spotify/RUclips?

This is very exciting to hear, would love to have one for my 09 G37S sedan. Do you get any of the buzzing noise or audio interference that comes with FM Bluetooth adapters?
Alex Holmes I do not own any FM transmitters so I cant day much about them. I have heard the quality of the FM transmitters are not that great.
What I can tell you is the Bovee 1000 audio bluetooth streaming device sounds fantastic.
Maybe your weires are crossed or not fully plugged in tight
Does this need a separate cord for power? I bought one for my 09 G37 and connected it to the 30-pin adapter that came with the car. It will play two or three songs, then shuts off randomly and switches to CD. Then it comes back on a few minutes later? I don't know if it needs additional power source or maybe my 30-pin adapter cord is bad?
it should have power from the 30 pin ipod cable, that cable does carry a 12v and 5v power source to charge the ipod and thus the module. It may be a bad bluetooth module, you may want to message the seller/amazon as it should not turn off after any period of time.
@@oneeyedrone4293 Thanks for the info! 😊
I know this is an old comment but from my understanding the older G35 and and early G37 only send 3v or so. That's why it cut on and off, there are a couple options for a power adapter on Amazon and eBay that you can add between the iPad back and the bovee.
Could the Bovee bluetooth adapter & 30 pin cable work for my 2012 G37 no navigation system?
You should have a phone port that allows you to connect your phone and play music right away I had a 2011 g37 base model with no nav,Bose system ,and no sunroof and I had the port that allowed my iPhone to play music
Whats it called ?
Best buy sell it for $240 CDN, this is madness lmao

Hii bro i have a question my car Bluetooth was working perfectly fine before i pair other phone but now I can connect my phone with car but when i play music by Bluetooth it stop after 1-2 minutes can u please tell me how can i solve this problem
its a bluetooth issue, cannot be fixed, the headunit needs to be replaced. Its an issue with iphones and later phones getting way too advanced for the protocol of the car. If you go back to an iphone 4/5 when the car was made, everything would work correctly.
if you use a dongle like this, that would avoid the issue and thus update the bluetooth protocol to that of the module, just a little work around to the ipod interface stuff, the unit somehow still works correctly for calls. Its just the music streaming that suffers, skips, stops, etc
