I've been wanting to start my own business cause I know how to knit beanies, bags, stuffed animals, scarves, head bands, i know how to make hair clips...I made bear ears one day I wore them to school and people were shocked when I said I made them...also I know how to make earrings...necklaces...braceltes...rings, and finger knitted book marks...knitted flowers for any thing...I don't want a job when I'm older I want my own business for all the stuff I sell :) I love doing this cause is so fun
1 year later edit: i came back a year later and now I know how to make a little more things such as crochet pouches, stool covers, blankets, mini octopuses, and shirts
That's very talented that you're able to make those things, especially at a young age. And I feel you on that on not wanting a job 😂! I definitely encourage young entrepreneurs. It's never too late or too early to start a business, so I say go for it if it's something you're passionate about! 😊💖

Anyone know how to price bracelets as not to be too low or too high in any economy?
@ms.coleman4535 It depends on the type of bracelets you make, materials, you use, and where you get them. I sell mines between $8-$12. Bracelets made with beads tend to be sold at a cheaper price, while those made with gold or metal are a higher price. But you price your jewelry at how valuable YOU think they are. Don't try to make them cheaper for people who say they can't afford if you think they're worth more than that. I'd say look at prices from other small businesses to get some ideas. Hope this help 🤗

Of course! A mistake I made is buying a whooleee lot of material (mostly beads) that I still haven't or barely used. I know it's tempting, but try not to buy everything you see so you're not wasting money. Set a budget for yourself and only get what you can afford. Another tip is if you're buying material online, go to a craft store and look at the sizes so you can have a general idea of how big or small they might look. There's lots of different sites to get different types of materials. You can shop on places like Amazon, 8seasons, Shein, Michaels, Ebay, Hobby Lobby, and especially Etsy to support small businesses. Always check the sizing to make sure you don't have a bead size too big or small. And check the sizing for material like string to make sure it's sturdy and the right size for whatever bead size you use. Not everything has to be bought from one place, and check the reviews for quantity. Hopefully this helps and good luck! 🤗

Of course! I mostly get my supplies from Shein like beads, pendants, and materials for earrings. I sometimes would get supplies from Michael's or Hobby Lobby, especially string so I can see the sturdiness and thickness in person. Other websites I hear are good is Aliexpress and Etsy. Hi sweetheart, glad to see a future jewelry designer in the making! I'd say set the price for however much you feel your bracelets are worth. I sell my beaded bracelets for $5, and my charmed ones for $8 and $10. But a common feeling people have is overcharging, so never feel the need to undercharge. Hopefully that helps. Best of luck! 😃

Yeah. The county of Etsy! Geez....are you a census worker? Ok, No. You're not. If so you'd know that selling on Etsy etc... is a SHOPPE thru ETSY, etc...THEY have a business & all the legals; YOU have a spot under the umbrella OF those legals. They get a % so you can sell w/o all the hassle. THAT ⬆️ reason is WHY these platform exist. Yanno, you COULD'VE thrown in a little support for a young person with a creative & entrepreneurial mindset; as opposed to playing video games all day & other uselessness the lazy members of the younger gens waste their time on now. Just a thought.
