- Eli and his sister Lily are inviting the world to #ComeSayHi, they know that the more we understand each other and celebrate our differences the better the world will be. Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, and everyone at WE Day, want to spread Eli's message. A simple two-letter word can open up doors, help us raise awareness, and cure EB.
The WE Day special will be aired on ABC, Friday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT. Featuring host Neil Patrick Harris and chart-topping performers and iconic celebrities, including Mahershala Ali, Chance The Rapper, Selena Gomez, Joe Jonas, Bill Nye, Natalie Portman, Lilly Singh, Hailee Steinfeld, Pentatonix, Meghan Trainor, and Eddie Vedder. People tune in to the WE Day Special to find hope, optimism and ideas that will inspire them to get doing and create big, lasting change.

Thanks Jill and eddie.. Those are the real heroes... I'm far away in Portugal but I'm proud that I was the first Portuguese doner (that's what I was told on my first email) I know it was just a simbolic amount but I am proud anyway... I try help here in Portugal although I'm a 43 yeared chef who suffers from chronic psychotic depression and anxiety and just burned out after 21 years of career. Thank you. What I complain about compared to this is ridiculous... I'm ashamed for complaining... "God what do you say? "

His sister is a great kid too. Makes you wonder how adults can be so terrible, when kids can be like this (especially with EB... sometimes children who have it, you can tell they’re so depressed and in so much pain, very much understandably). I guess when you have a saint of a mother it probably helps a bit.
I was made aware of EB by an amazing, wonderfully sweet young man from Staten Island, who also suffers from EB, John Hudson Dilgen. His selfless and heartfelt efforts to support those with it, and bring awareness, has been exemplary. I pray we all can donate, and a true, viable cure can bring an end of the suffering to these wonderful people who needlessly have to suffer at this time. Thank you Eddie for bringing awareness to this.
