  • Two Worlds is one of my top 5 RPGs of all time. I know that sounds crazy. But, something about the game just scratches the itch of my very weird and picky tastes in role playing games.
    Join me for the adventure of playing all the way through the Two Worlds Epic Edition on PC. It's rare when you get to watch me gush over a game as I typically get burnt out before they are over. Not the case with Two Worlds. Reality Pump really hit a homerun with this one.
    Part 2 - bit.ly/JZako1
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    TWO WORLDS GAMEPLAY DESCRIPTION
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    300 years after Aziraal was banished, two siblings enter the conflict between Orcs and the free world. Kira, the hero's younger sister, suddenly disappears in mysterious circumstances.
    If my family really belongs to the chosen ones, why then have we always been as poor as church mice? I have never given much credence to all the old stories about a relict in our family's possession - one which supposedly bannedAziraal, the god of the Orcs - they say that only those ofmy bloodwere chosen to safeguard the secret. 'Tis nothing but nonsense methinks - however, my sister Kyra always listened eagerly to the stories of the old ones... but she vanished several months ago.
    To all intents and purposes you're an unscrupulous bounty hunter and mercenary - but the search for your sister takes you back to your roots.
    At the beginning of your epic adventure, a mercenary task takes you to the far north - but you're also following up a mysterious lead at the same time - the first clue you've been given since Kyra's disappearance. You get a shock during a meeting with the delegates of a dark Brotherhood - your sister's kidnappers are indeed after your family's relict. Whether there's any truth in your family being chosen ones or not, the others obviously believe it - and if you ever want to see Kyra alive again, you'll have to act swiftly
    Includes the original Two Worlds, plus the add-on Tainted Blood OVER 90 NEW QUESTS: Journey even deeper into the world of Antaloor with over 90 new quests and eight new multiplayer maps Soundtrack by Grammy Award Winner Harold Faltermeyer
    More Info about Two Worlds Epic Edition:
    STUPENDOUS LANDSCAPES: in a fantasy world where every inhabitant leads a separate dynamic life with realistic daily routines, your deeds will determine the fate of the strife-torn land of Antaloor.
    PLAYING FREEDOM: Two Worlds is not for those who don't like making decisions, because you'll often have to take one side or the other ? an intelligent, networked reputation system for guilds and secret societies makes sure of that.
    KNIGHT, THIEF, MAGE, NECROMANCER OR ALCHEMIST: Two Worlds has spectacular, dynamically-choreographed fights on foot or on horseback. An absorbing alchemy system for creating individual potions and power-ups provides diversification! If this still isn't enough, try the sophisticated magic system
    INTUITIVE INTERFACE AND INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT OF ATTRIBUTES: you may experiment with all the character attributes and develop your skills as and when you like. An elaborate inventory system ensures that you always have a clear overview ? no matter how hot the action gets.
    MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER INCLUDED: bustling towns are the trading centers and meeting points for several hundred players. Self-created characters fight gripping PvsP duels in Arena mode ? or solve a series of exciting quests as allies.

      I played it on the 360, which just made the whole thing that much more appalling. The 360 can't seem to handle the game, despite the fact it looks a little like someone through a bucket of mud over some N64 polygons.
      Every thirty seconds, you're slapped in the face by an impenetrable fog that lets you see all of three feet of scenery as the consoles way of dealing with the choppy framerate.
      And literally every fight, every swordswing of every fight is subject to a choppy freeze before you make contact.

    I was just having nostalgic feelings for this game. I bought it on steam for $2 since I lost the disc and am downloading now.
    I remember that trainers cost 500 gold until you save something like 10,000 gold so try not to save a lot of money early on. When you gain some skills and levels, get level 10 potion making and charge through the northern plains on horseback with lowest graphics settings to make grass invisible and look for a flower called centarium I think and after a while you'll get a few dozen. Make potions with 5 at a time and they will give you a permanent +10 willpower bonus. Go to an unlearner if that's what you call the untraining trainers to redistribute your stats away from willpower, and you will have something like 200 vitality. You will be so overpowered. I need to try this again.

    I remember I picked up two worlds at a pawn shop. I checked the reviews first and saw nothing but negatives, and I was really skeptical. But in the I said Fuck it, it's two bucks, I'll get it. I played it for five minutes and was immediately over it. Didn't pick up for 6 months. But then, I had just beaten Dragon age 2 and had nothing else to play, so I popped it in. That time I got hooked and played for hours. It's such an easy game to lose yourself in. I know it's not the mist polished gem, but it is a great game in its own way. I think I'll watch the rest of this LP

    I think this is a good game .I don't understand all the negative reviews.The character language I think was done on purpose because this is a game.Maybe the game didn't appeal to the gaming elites but I thought it was great.It seemed to me like a combination of Oblivion and Gothic II. You narration and enthusiasm added to the fun of playing the game.You also showed me some things I wasn't aware of that could be done in the game.I didn't know you could snap like items in inventory to enhance their value.Thanks for your narration and commentary.Keep up the good work.

    This game seems like an RPG! It looks interesting and i'm going to download it and try it out. What people often don't realize is a very simple truth. "RPG" means "choices and consequences", first and foremost and only after that, stats, attributes and classes. I'm wholeheartedly an elder scrolls guy, completely. I love Oblivion, not for it's mediocre story, nor for it's "utterly unique aesthetic", but for several things that it does amazingly. 1. Like Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind and every other TES game (except Redguard i guess), it has RACES! And races has their own individual bonuses that are very unique and immersive, both lore-wise and gameplay-wise. 2. The premise of the story (while mediocre) is simple, straightforward and also contextually fitting within the lore of Elder Scrolls. This is important! I love TES as a whole franchise. Each game brings something unique and is great in that particular field! Arena -best antagonist and availability of the whole Tamriel. Daggerfall: Tamriel living simulator and the best RPG experience i have ever had (My personal favorite among TES games). Morrowind: unconventional, beautiful and authentic fantasy aesthetic with the RPG depth (though, already smaller than that of Daggerfall). Oblivion: Cities, side quests, fluid combat system, great spell making and enchanting system, European-medieval-ish aesthetic which i personally like...(scale-leveling bla-bla...yes, but that's a topic on it's own. It's complicated and people tend to trivialize it. Let's just say that the game has some more and less appealing ways of forcing you to learn and utilize all of it's systems in order to overcome the challenge. I have beaten it on 100% difficulty with an altmer, five times, no problems so it's possible). Skyrim- IMPACT and visuals. Your weapons now have IMPACT, you see the enemie ragdoll, feeling your blows and you can also decapitate...but it's my least favorite TES game by far. Simply because IT"S NOT A GOD DAMN PURE RPG!!! IT's an action-power fantasy hybrid with no attributes and classes for god's sake, let alone "choices and consequences" (if you don't regard shooting chicken in Riverwood as a legit "consequence")...

    • @ericmollison2760
      @ericmollison2760 5 лет назад

      Nice to see another two worlds fan and TES fan. Sadly I couldn't avoid getting corrupted saves in daggerfall even after carefully trying everything in the wiki. I have OCD so the leveling mechanics in morrowind and oblivion make me load saves too often trying to focus on doing things a certain way and optimize things. My OCD gets in the way of properly enjoying those games so Skyrim is actually my favorite.
      Two worlds leveling was simple and you could change your character with an unlearner at any time. Also I know a few great exploits. *spoilers*
      Avoid making too much money to keep trainers cheap. Use level 10 potion making and make potions with 5 centarium to give +10 permanent bonus to willpower, and use an unlearner to redistribute your stats to mostly vitality. Get centarium by riding a horse through the plains around where you start. Minimize graphics settings to keep grass from obscuring your view of centarium and other things. Make similar potions with zombie brains. Use traps in a line to hold enemies, especially when you have to fight several at once. There's probably more, but that's more than enough for now. Hope you haven't got tired of it already.

    Bandits!
    two worlds 2 is better imo because it has more depth and the side quests are more interesting. there are so many unusual quests such as dressing up in a santa costume and handing out presents (which is a fitting example considering the time of day) and the npc's are all goofy and the main character is the most sarcastic guy ever.

    • @AlloySevenVideo
      @AlloySevenVideo  10 лет назад

      I remember back in the day when I did my Two Worlds 2 review. I think the subtitle was "1 Step Forward 2 Steps Back."
      I felt they fixed some of the technical issues, but took away the freedom, the charm and really made a game that was less fun to play.

    • @CynicalGamingBlogTerry309
      @CynicalGamingBlogTerry309 10 лет назад

      i disagree, i think two worlds 2 has it's own charm, it's a completely different game that people who enjoyed the first game cannot relate to because they don't see the subtle humor in all the characters were eccentrics which made quests interesting and the main character was deadpan and sarcastic which made for some really funny dialogue.
      unlike two worlds, two worlds 2 doesn't really follow the tropes (for the most part) and tries to do something unique, in what other game is there a quest where you have to clean a house of demonic umbrellas?
      as for the exploration, play the expansion, it's more open and even better than the main game itself. the main game had suffient exploration as erimos was pretty big at the start and once you unlock new areas theres more exploration to do. the think i dislike about games such as skyrim is that give you an open world right from the get go is that once you have explored it, it gets boring, i'd rather unlock new areas because it's exciting rather than go out and explore aimlessly only to find out that i've been everywhere already.
      only problem that two worlds 2 has is the lack of equipment at the start, pretty much everything else is an improvement to me.

    I also absolutely love this game, and still play it on a regular basis.
    We also share the mentality of liking this one more than TW 2.
    :D
    Personally, I found this game right after I had spent over 1000+ hours playing TES: Oblivion, and was bored to tears with the level-scaling, lack of challenge and limited options to play a bad guy in that game, and there sure wasn't an abundance of other RPG's at that time for 360.
    The only thing that bothered me at first were the graphics and the unstable framerate, since I have this on 360, but I never understood why people complain about the voice acting, quests etc. since to my hearing the voice acting is above average (lucky me of low standards apparently), and the quests are actually pretty damn good and FAR more in-depth and interesting than in many other RPG's.
    (Getting a rope that's been used for a hanging had that morbid intrique about it yeah?)
    Whatever doubts I originally had, vanished pretty quickly when I realized that the questlines actually do have some irreversable consequences, like the Skeldens vs. Kargas or Society mages vs. Necromancers, and you could actually chooce your side instead of being forced to one side, like in Oblivion.
    There was also the factor that I could finally play a truly evil character and once I leveled enough I could kill off all civilian NPC's if I so damn well pleased. (My first character became a necromancer, Skelden-loyalist, an "honorary" member of the Giriza, mass-murdered most of Antaloor and allied with Gandohar.)
    Like you said, the leveling was done very well in this game, with no artificial limitations.
    There was also some REAL excitement to exploration since the monsters in different areas don't level-scale with the player, so going into the wrong area too early was a real adventure.
    (I'll remember the damn cyclops on top of the hill/mountain near the Goat's cave/the excavations for the rest of me days I tells ye, at level 5 I faced the damned thing, an epic brawl it was! Or the King's Tomb, or the Golem-Island... Such memories.)
    Not to mention the joy (of sorts) of facing creatures that with their sheer size manage to intimidate me (the damn dragons and golems and such...)
    The abundance of weapons and armor kept things interesting till the very end of the game in regards of developing your character, and the upgrade system made it possible for you to use an armor set or weapons that you found aesthetically pleasing for a longer period of time, instead being almost forced to use ugly weapons and armor because of their stats.
    Magic was a real intrigue of it's own, with so many spells and ways to use them.
    (The joy and sense of achievement I felt when I summoned my first Adamantium-Golem, and had it tear the guards of Qudinar to pieces.)
    And alchemy, oh the alchemy and the permanent-effect-potions that made my character a demigod far before we had even heard of the Dragonborn. :D
    Horse-riding was sort of a meh, but atleast you could fight on horseback with melee-weapons (poorly.), with bows (pretty well.) and with magic (damn well, especially with summoned creatures.)
    Sorry for the long and rambly post, but it's just so good to see someone else appreciating this game like I do. :D

      No apologies necessary my friend. Always good to find another TO fan out here in the ether. I also have so many fond memorable moments from playing the game the first time. Like the time I had a dragon follow me to a shrine so I could cheat kill it. Such good times.

    the moment I realized that in the steam version you cannot beat the game by killing Gandohar at the start, it lost all sense to me

      Alloy 7 Video Thank you!!! Really enjoyed the review too... any plans to review TW2?

    • @AlloySevenVideo
      @AlloySevenVideo  10 лет назад

      I started playing it last year to attempt to do an LP and a review. I lost interest after a few hours. TW2 improves upon some of TW's tech issues, but really took away much of what I loved about TW (Charm, Exploration, Weapon and Armor Stacking).
      The multiplayer in TW2 was also pointless. I think I only did it with a few friends just to get the achievements.
      All that said, I do have it in the back of my mind that I want to go back and review TW2, but if I do, it probably won't be for a long while.

    I love the unnecessary shifty eye animation and the entire jaw lip sync, it reminds me very much of puppet shows like Thunderbirds and Team America.
