my first time watching uncle roger.. he's hilarious.. btw. i believe gordon ramsay filmed that while in Sumatera Barat (West Sumatra Island).. it really has a very beautiful scenery. And yes, Padang located in West Sumatera is the origin of RENDANG, the no.1 dish in the world. I saw your video trying Rendang Ayam (Chicken Rendang) in Boboko restaurant .. Nice!!

The key to make Indonesian fried rice is kecap manis or sweet soy sauce. Can't do without it
Not always, i like fried rice wit no soy souce.
Indonesia has many types of fried rice, and all can be adjusted to suit individual tastes
And also shrimp paste for the real Indonesian classic
in some areas they didn't put a soy sauce, just a ketchup or even plain

Hi Shea,I have seen some famous chefs soak leftover rice in egg juice before frying it. Then when the rice is fried, the yellow egg liquid will almost coat every grain of rice. This is called authentic Golden Fried Rice. I tried frying rice like this. Yes, this one does taste better!Thank for your reaction❤❤❤

Yes Shea... you use leftover rice... chilled in the refrigerator. If you use freshly cooked rice, you'll just have mush at the end. And the rice like the last or next to last thing to heat in the wok, after you cook the veggies and the egg. Add some soy and a dash of oyster sauce. It only takes a couple minutes to heat up the rice, you dont want to cook the rice more but you do want to incorporate the sauces and ingredients.

But he didn't do it as well as cooking Indonesian Fried Rice which is use some of basic ingredient that we call Bumbu Putih + Sweet souya been Sauce (Kecap)
Well, even Gordon Ramsay can't beat the authentic Indonesian flavors! Maybe we should send him a jar of Bumbu Putih and Kecap as a gift.

Nasi goreng Indonesia makanan yang tidak susah cara membuatnya,cukup nasi sisa,bawang merah,bawang putih,cabe merah,kecap,telur,garam,penyedap rasa(Masako/Royco) dan minyak goreng..
When cooking fried rice, of course you don't only pay attention to the taste, but also to the choice of rice used.
Ideally, the most delicious fried rice has a soft, fluffy texture and is not too sticky. That's why you need to choose good and correct rice.
When Uncle Gordon says to use leftover rice, what he means is to use cold rice...
so the rice you use to make fried rice has been cooked at least a day before.
but if you don't want to wait all day that's okay, the most important thing is that when the rice has been removed from the rice cooker, don't fry it straight away, but let it sit first until the rice has really cooled down because if you fry it while the rice is still hot it will cause a wet and mushy texture...
