For my new mashup I took the famous Ghostbusters Soundtrack and The Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the new from the Back to the future soundtrack. What is interesting was that Huey Lewis and the News were initially tapped to contribute to the Ghostbusters soundtrack, but that they were too busy touring to break for that. Then, when Lewis found out that Ray Parker, Jr.'s "Ghostbusters" theme song sounded similar to his "I Want a New Drug," Lewis sued Parker and the two then settled out of court (Lewis broke this agreement in 2001 when he talked about the suit in detail on VH1's Behind the Music, leading Parker to countersue).
Lewis and the News, after the final tours in support of their album Sports had concluded, then signed on to contribute to the soundtrack to Back to the Future, which included not only "The Power of Love" but also "Back in Time."
There's comparison videos up on RUclips... if you overlay the songs over top of each other, they line up 1:1 for like a majority of the song, lol, it's crazy. I've seen some mashups too where.... they didn't really do anything but play them at the same time & it works, lol.

Second-most 80's thing, for me ... I've heard "Axel Knight" (the mashup of the Knight Rider theme and Axel F from Beverly Hills Cop) ... that one is so 80's you'll grow a pair of legwarmers! But yes, this is a great mash also! 👍

It’s funny because Ray Parker Jr. was sued by Huey Lewis over the Ghostbusters theme’s baseline sounding like to one from “I Want A New Drug” and both Ghostbusters and Back to The Future are franchises that crossed over in LEGO Dimensions.
