- Unboxing of Sony Walkman NWZ-S765 white 16gb and sound test of Kit Sounds panda speaker. Bought from Argos.
Low light so camera struggled a bit but the white colour is really nice, doesn't look plasticy.
i have tested all of the ipod nanos and some of the old and the new sony players and i can say that i just love sony's sound quality,navigation and specs :)
Hi,yeah I still used it. Listened to it for 6 hours on a trip to London recently and it never went off full battery! Best MP3 player i've had.
I like how you showed everything. I have the NWZ-S545 (BLK), It was a gift Christmas 2011; the S-Series Walkmans are the best, the sound, the quality, the looks and the feel. I especially like the buttons on the side. Mine has speakers, I can flip from to headphones or speaker; and the sound is great. @Robert Lloyd: you download YT videos then drag and drop and your own videos.
I have one of these in black. The sound is very good with the supplied earphones, and with the equalizer adjusted accordingly. It's feature-laden, I'm particularly impressed with its video playback and bluetooth feature - which is very handy if you want to transfer music or videos between the walkman and your phone, as you can do so without having to plug the walkman and phone into the computer to transfer data.
Hi, glad to find your video. I have the pink one. Mine is from Japan, my problem is that I cannot set it to English. I've done all the searching and have read some remarks that it may not have an English setting. I am very happy to see yours and in English.
@GarethEvs3 Hi, no it doesn't have a 'thumb wheel' like an iPod. It's a 4-way button to navigate and then middle button to select. Hope that helps.
Hi, the sound quality is clear but not loud, it doesn't have a bass boost. It has a noise limiter on too. So the bass/volume is dependent on having good headphones or speakers.
Hi, yeah its got Bluetooth. Just tested it and it works fine to receive songs.
Just got this today and i think its the only the black walkman which comes with the wireless headphones. The only Downfall to this is that it doesnt have external speakers as the 1st one.. but it definitely looks better and sounds better than the other one

Hi, there is a volume limiter (AVLS) and this is set at 17 on mine. You can turn it off but I don't like my music loud. There are 2 custom equalizer profiles. Hope that helps.
@bioroid09 It doesn't come with bluetooth headphones, not in the UK at least. I've not tested the bluetooth yet but its good option to have.
If you use YT video downloader, just make sure that the video file is compatible and you should be okay. I go for MP4, it's usually the safest and easiest. x

@Sbrillex Hi, the equalizer is good and has a few options - Heavy, Pop, Jazz, Unique and Custom. There's not much bass when using it with the supplied earphones but I tried it with some 'proper' headphones and it was really good.
Hi, I forgot there was a stand for it, I just put it back in the box. The instructions say its an attachment to connect it to the cradle (not supplied). What ever that means!
Hi, I've not tried the Sony B series but I do have an ipod shuffle. The bass is prob better on the shuffle but I think the Sony is clearer. I guess its down to personal preference. So much depends on the headphones tho.
I've not used these profiles so cannot say how good they are etc. But they have a 'clear bass' bar (levels 0 to +3) and then 4 further bars (0.4, 1.0., 2.5, 6.3 and 16Hz - with levels of -3 to +3). Hopefully that makes some sort of sense :-/
Hi, you might be able to sync it with windows media player and/or the supplied software. You can't add playlists on the device (although you can create bookmark lists which seem similar) you have to connect it to a computer.

I think it depends on the model series. At the time I bought this S-Series one the 8gb was an E-Series which didn't have things like Bluetooth. Not sure about the newer models tho.
Hi, i'm not sure how you do this. The only songs i've got with lyrics are the ones provided?! There's a video 'Discover lyrics with WALKMAN®' which might be a starting point (I can't put the link in here). Cheers.

What's the stand for? I can't figure out how to use it. It's like you'd have to set it up on a shoe box or something and use it for charging only since your music port isn't accessible?
How's the max volume on this? I like to carry an mp3 and portable speaker to practice instead of a radio. Does it have custom equalizer?
Does this product come with a built in micro-SD card, similar to the Sansa line?
Hi, no it doesn't have an SD card slot.Of the 16gb internal storage 14gb is 'free' for music/video. Cheers

Is it possible to rate songs directly on the Walkman? If so, when synching the player, are the ratings then transferred to Windows?

Hi, i've not used this function so not sure. When playing a song I can't see an option to rate songs. There is 'Add to bookmark' but guessing that's something different. There's no rate option on the main screen menu either.

Hi, as far as I know only Apple devices can sync with iTunes. I've not tried it though.

Just a warning. Terrible volume limit. I'd stick with models you can play around with the volume limit. At 30, my favourite song is not too loud, tried it with 3 different headphones. Tried it on my friend's older version(that i tweaked) and i'm already deaf on that song at 22.
