Priceless look on Dave's usually otherwise cynical face at 6:34. I love the wonderment and innocence of his reaction. He let a little of his kid out there, I believe.
I saw this guy sometime in the late 1980's or early 1990's. He even swallowed different coins and could bring up the amount asked for by audience. I think he was traveling at that time with a group of side-show circus acts (Jim Rose circus). I would say charitably that his act was one of the most 'normal' of the night and that the acts were far more normal than many in the audience.
Pretty sure I saw that guy working the floor at Caesars Palace back in the early 90's performing these stunts for random people in the casino. At one point, he swallowed three items (little balls, I believe) and could only bring two back up. After a minute of weird contortions, he made a quick joke about it, then hurried off with a concerned look on his face. I spent the rest of my vacation worried sick wondering if that guy was going to be okay. Thanks for making my trip memorable, dude!
@@Roy-G-Biv No, that's just your incredulity talking. If he was going to die from his escapades, it would've been when he was a child, and still inexperienced with his regurgitation.
I remember watching him the very first time and could not figure out how he could make things not wet at all coming up. How could he distinguish which item was which in side stomach being same size even. It's like he almost had eyeballs in his stomach and little tiny fingers. Haven't seen this in a long time. It's still just as amazing.
I remember him from the 90s on JFL he would make these cute noises swallowing Gold Fish and Lightbulbs. Hard to forget. Can you imagine the audience this guy could captivate at a bar? Must have just been regularly been blowing peoples minds in his hometown and across Scotland.
he came to out college in the mid 90s and performed in the student union. It was a bizarre show! He wore a shirt that showed his stomach so you could see it contorting. He swallowed a locked lock and a key and the key came out unlocked. I’m not sure if it’s an illusion or if he’s really doing it, but it was pretty impressive.
If you're taking Fan Requests, I would love to have the Squirrel Nut Zippers appearance(s) uploaded. Their performance of "Hell" on Letterman is what turned me on to their music.

Looks like fry from Futurama
"You're one goofy mother" 4:42 LOL
I remember recording this at the time...absolutely incredible. Like Letterman, my buddy didn't believe Stevie was "doing anything!!"
It’s all an illusion. No regurgitation involved
@@DougPalumbo Lol...yep...just hid a huge light bulb under his tongue....
One of my favorite segments and guests ever! Still as amazing today as it was back then.
“Impressive. Whatever you were doing, it was very impressive”.

Me and my two brothers were mesmerized by this dude, multiple shows, multiple tricks,......always had us on the edge of our seats!!!!!!!
One of the few guest he had on who I still remember seeing from the original broadcast back in the day. Easily one of my favorites.
Best one I have seen yet!

In U.S. of A? That Scissors palace?
I'm going to try this at home!
RIP...
I was fascinated by this guy when i was a kid watching Letterman. Shockingly , Stevie Starr is still alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s not THAT long ago lol
@@sirdiealot53 well , I meant that he could have easily died from his swallowing escapades.

the amazing people Dave got to meet at the workplace... 😂
Some of this was sleight of hand, some real, it really creates a mesmerizing experience.

This legend is Stevie Starr from Glasgow👏.
That’s just fascinating.
His bit with the sugar is now stuck in my head
At least it's not stuck in your throat.
He was on AGT a few years ago. I was repulsed - but intrigued.
Saw him n Cape Town. Phenomenal

i had an aunt who used to do something similar, but, with ping-pong balls
In her mouth, or further down?
I’m glad that Dave didn’t make him eat coin #1 off the floor - but it would have been interesting to ask him to regurgitate that one!
😮What did I just watch? 😅👏👏🌸
I voted for this guy on AGT.

Anthony Michael Hall's cousin has a gross occupation.
They should have done it at Just Bulbs
No one can solve how it’s done
Hes lost a lot of his teeth now might be from swallowing pool balls lol
He doesn't eat fruit or veg, and mainly eats sweets and drinks cola - that may be the reason for his missing teeth.
@@JmanKO97 really had no idea?
@@davemustaki134 Well, that is what he once said but I am not sure whether it is 100% true or not.

I remember loving seeing Stevie Starr as a kid but man - this made me a bit nauseous in my old age.
I was sent here by The Park After Dark (Trailer Park Boys).
Who else can say the same?
You could have at least mentioned his name in the title or the description. Stevie Starr. It's not that hard.
This can't be real, right?
Wait for the bit when he can push his bowels back in his stomach and bring it out too.
Content like this is why I subscribed to this channel. Not to see useful idiots like seth Meyers and Stephen colbert push party line propaganda

I strangely have no desire to watch this guy…
