    • @varun2250
      @varun2250 11 месяцев назад +1

      Unless there's automatic and sensor based detection of aerial threats like small drones like kamikazes, there's no use of having any anti aircraft or anti aerial denial weaponry onboard if you have to detect the incoming threat through soldier's eye.
      Now, is it feasible to have such power consuming, significant weight laden sensors and radars onboard the tank to detect the aerial threats!

    Why they are not considering Arjun Mark-II , This FMBT will go every planet to test(universe) years and years of trails like Arjun, at end it will be criticised. Hope this FMBT Program will be successful and Make us proud.
    Why do they want all in One tank, it will compromise ultimate tank. FMBT cannot just be a tank, it's a group of tanks consisting One is with high fire power with high protection armour with fully automated loader with option of manual loading(if automation fails in field) with 3 crew.
    The second one is the Rader mounted on the same hull for track , detection and decoy memec, with all soft kill machanism.
    Third One is same hull with Hard kill machanism against enemy fires round, Drones and helicopters.
    They will operate like swarm drones and coordinating eachother. All having heavy armour protection.

    I don’t think so
    It’s looks like no matter what happen ,one thing that army wants and will look for is realibility and that is achieved ONLY if you support project, buy stuff and use for long time
    And that impossible to achieve
    It’s like unending cycle
    Proving realisability = need time
    No time = canceled or delayed
    Delayed = hard to trust or no funding
    No funding = waste of previous money and no improvement
    No improvement = no realiability
    And the chain goes on
    China will crossing 500 units of j 20 5 gen fighter;may not good as original f22 but still we got a big problem

    A weight limit of 55 (∓ 5%) tonnes feels too restrictive IMHO. Of the modern MBTs only the Armata, K2 Black Panther & the Japanese Type 90 (they needed a lighter tank because of the terrain in which it would operate) are specified around this weight, and all 3 are unproven tanks (claims notwithstanding). Feel like we might be making the same mistake we made when specifying the Tejas (LCA): too small/light (otherwise why would Teja Mk2 be required). It is very likely that our armour will not be as good per kg as American, British, German or French armour (we haven't been spending hundreds of millions over decades developing armour), so I feel this weight restriction will give the tank insufficient protection.

    Why they want to waste money on obsolete weapons if they are targeting export market then its fine. But if they want to fulfil domestic requirement then we have to understand that in modern warfare scenario with powerful enemies only the strategic weapons like modern air force with fifth and sixth generation Aircraft drones and modern heavylift helicopters with light tanks, Smart rocket artillery, smart network of drones etc required. Bigger tank kind of weapons can easily be targeted by modern missiles drones and rockets and they were sitting duck. These weapons are used only to maintain siege over captured territory. But it is more worthwhile to use attack and transport helicopters to deploy such army asset after destruction of air defence of enemy.

    I think the army is trying to push DRDO and other Indian companies to innovate and bring something really top-noch and not just another iteration of the existing. IMO, they could have stated an unmanned turret and separate protected crew compartment - but not sure how those would impact the weight requirements.

  • @sumandutta4834
    @sumandutta4834 11 месяцев назад

    Do you think it is time to modify our infrastructure (road/rail) to carry 60-80 tonne weight vehicles. Also does Indian Army come with their specifications after doing market research and understanding the domestic industrial capacity. They have the responsibility not only as security provider but also to develop domestic industrial base.

    There is another addendum for this list of requirements, the tank should pass all tests on Mars and moon. Additionally it has to be tested in the extreme atmospheric conditions of Europa too😂

    Army watching Hollywood movies? Thank god they did not ask for 125mm rail gun
    The whole idea of an autoloader is to have once crew member less.
    Also i suggest to have one NEW platform, With 120-125 mm smooth bore gun, with ability to carry 40 rounds for main guns, grenade launchers, 3 AP dispensers on the turret, 1 dispenser on the body at the back.
    1 X 12.7 mm coaxial gun, 1 X 12.7 mm gun on RCWS. Also might be good to have a sensor on top of the turrent to have vertical awareness, as during 7/10 many Israeli tanks were destroyed by Quadcopters that carried RPG rounds and dropped them on top.
    Also using the same base platform, make ISV (infantry support vehicle) that carries either 155 mm gun, with 12.7 co-axial) to take down strong poiints
    A Rocket Launcher system that carries say 4 X 122 mm Pinaka or 2 X 203 mm rockets and 6 X Kamikaze drones that can be used for recce, Strike & even anti tank mission.
    Infantry fighting vehicle, with say 30-35 mm gun with dual feed system, and co-axial 12.7 mm gun, and 12.7 mm gun on RCWS to provide anti infantry protection.

    In my opinion the previous requirement put forward by army for 3 crew and automated turret was better and shouldn't have been changed . Also why isn't army asking for a bigger gun ??

    We are not best to give suggestion to any expert ..but when we see video of ukarian Russia war ..tank are getting destroyed by small drones , missiles ,artillery ., mines ..so will tank help in war , secondly if drones can defeat tank .it can also protect tank..one drone should be above tank monitoring battle field and other drones should launched by tanks which counter incoming antitank missile either by tank or helicopters ..instead of tank based active protective systems
