      A cue tip is fine to use on a ear...just dont shove it down into the ear drum.

      I've used a q-tip after every shower for like the last 20 years and have never had a problem. Even my doctor said they're clean

      @@CynnasIt is dependent on how your ear wax builds up. If it is along the walls, Q tips can work fine. If it has fallen into the middle, using a Q-tip is incredible dangerous

    You only have to dilute it, if the peroxide is higher than 3%.

    This is a good and proven method that works HOWEVER - if you get a "blockage" suddenly, I do NOT recommend doing this. Instead, visit your doctor so that they can irrigate it. I say this as somebody who has these at least once a year. Putting peroxide in your ear will NOT get rid of the wax, it will only make it softer for removal. This is why it's important that, if you have a wax build-up, you remove it completely by paying your doctor a visit.

    Q tips push wax back down into the ears. Peroxide is an excellent choice. EyE never dilute it.😊

    My mom did this often and I’ve had not one issue with drainage, ear aches or irritation of my ear canal. What works for others may not work for all! If you’re not ok with it then don’t do it and if you find it works good for you! You had to do what you had to do back then to maintain wellness, everyone didn’t have the luxury of just going to a doctor and being seen 🤷🏽‍♀️

    Don't need water if using 3% concentrate. Using 10% then yes you can delute it to 5%.

    Use a syringe and peroxide not qtips please qtip pushes the wax down and causes the problem in the first place

    No, not the q-tip. If they're still moisturing the ear once you drain it suction it out with an aspirator.

    I wouldn’t recommend doing this. Q-Tips aren’t meant for the ear. You can damage your ear drum. I put peroxide in my ear before and I had an ear ache for days. I wouldn’t recommend either of these. 🙅🏻‍♀️

      @@KamrynHarrell-r5m Read the packaging. It specifically says not to insert them in the ears. People mostly use them for makeup or touch ups.

      Calm down please. I only used it in the outer ear to soak up some of the peroxide. They would be okay with that.

      ​@@theassessmentclinic- not in the UK they wouldn't. Ear care in the US is way behind UK ear care. You still syringe over there. It was stopped here because it's dangerous and is ineffective.
      You're also using sodium peroxide which is better for skin in the ear not wax and you most certainly don't shove anything like your are doing into the ear

    Teach your kids to put their ears up to the shower water (so it goes into the ear). Helps keep them clean

      nooo, DEFINITELY do NOT do that. ESPECIALLY if you live in a humid area like the UK or south america. Your ear literally is supposed to clean itself and if it can't, you need to see a doctor for removal. wax building up to the point of plugging your ears is actually not supposed to happen in functional ears, and sticking shower water up something never fixed anything in medicine.

      If they have tiny ear canals, the water might not be able to evaporate or leave the canals, and that can cause an ear infection also. ☹️

      My ear is clogged 😭 I used Waxil Ear drops and I started hearing I don't know what I did I took a thin blunt needle to move something inside ear now My ear feels clogged and while yawing my ear pains 😭 Please somebody suggest

    You will push WAX into your EAR and it'll BLOCK your HEARING it's a NIGHTMARE,

      The problem with q-tips is that you can force the ear down further into the ear canal or perforate the ear drum.

    but you need to specify what kind of peroxide you are talking about. in your case its Hydrogen peroxide H2O2, there are tons of peroxides in this world, peroxide just means "2 of oxigen" and there is for example zinx peroxide ZnO2 or Barium peroxide BaO2. i hope y'all know that because you learn this in like elementary school

    This is NOT a good idea. Frst of all, ear wax has antibacterial activity, so removing the ear wax completely might cause some infections til the wax forms again. Second of all, using those type of ear sticks might cause ear blockage so make sure that the cotton of the ear stick is bigger.
    Oh my God, I advise you to immediately stop doing this to your child.

    Yes this works but it’s honestly not that great for your ears. STEAM DISTILLED water is the safest way to unblock your ear.

    Do not do this. This like a mechanic doing brain surgery. All you need is a little body temperature heated olive oil. Over a process of two weeks you’ll see hear a difference

    Don't do that , if it isn't causing him issues such as hearing you should really only be cleaning the outside of his ear , ear wax is good , they keep out bugs , and protect the inside of your ears , a lot of it , yea it could be uncomfortable , you take them to the hospital, and you also really shouldn't be using q tips , your pushing everything back in and could poke his ear drum. You're completely exposing him to ear infections
