To disable the now forced frame generation. Enter this command in the console r.FidelityFX.FSR3.Enabled 0 | r.FidelityFX.FSR3.QualityMode 0 | r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled 0
I played the original on a 24 inch monitor with wide bezels half a decade ago it doesn't quite hit the same on a modern 27 inch screen at 1440p nice to see the game getting a do-over, can clearly see some lack of quality visually compared to the latest triple A's. I can see ark 2 running well at high settings 4k with DLSS 4.0 technologies and above + 5090 although perhaps a 6090 would help. Perhaps neural rendering included although we don't know much about the feature yet. Thanks for the frame gen code I'll be using it.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer that's what I'm talking about: Turbo Game Mode is available to owners of ASUS motherboards from our X870E/X870, X670E/X670. I have an Asus strip x870e, 9800x3d and 4090. I find enabling it did reduce some of those hideous frame spike in howarts in hogshead... however enabling this may reduce performance in non-gaming tasks.
i think i vaguely remember nvidia recommending at least going from 40 to 80 fps with their FG and AMD recommending at least going from 50 to 100 fps with FG. meanwhile, playing at 40 fps with FG lol. EDIT: FG IS OFF IN THIS VIDEO but does it look any worse at regular high settings instead of max settings? i mean its kinda fine if max settings are this demanding if it actually runs and looks great at medium. at least your frametimes arent all over the place like on zwormz's recent video. forcing FG on without any option is pretty lame tho.
I dont see anything in this game that excuses such awful performance. Sure, looks beautiful, but a path traced cp2077 looks better and has better performance... Are they damn loading the entire map chuncks at once?

forced frame gen ain't a good move
The fact that it's not an in-game option is a crime.
Is FSR 3 always on in the game?. Console command for maximum cloud quality :) r.VolumetricRenderTarget.mode 3
Graphics in this game looks amazing.
i had a lot of reasons not to ever play the original game and this "remake" but man, forcing FSR3 FG is insanity...
love the character
When the upgrade to UE 5.4 (or 5.5) comes it will gain a 25% perf + a 5090 should be a better experience

do you enable game mode in your bios? i find it reduces frame spikes in games like hogwarts and others.
I am not familiar with any setting called "Game Mode" on the AM5 platform bios. I have heard of Turbo mode but that would not benefit me.

You are basically turning off SMT, with only having 8 cores, that is not a great idea.@@jgo7870
Any plans retesting stalker 2 with patch 1.1 ?
I have a video coming up soon, I was planning on uploading it later, but no time like the present.

most of the time max setting in unreal engine are for visual fidelity ONLY. better stay on high

More video no fg plz
The graphics are amazing, sadly runs like crap
I find it hard to enjoy this game as it runs so horribly even on a 4090
