Fact - the neighbor has every right to Freedom of Speech - If the judge and his wife don't like the free speech of their neighbor, they can just ignore it.
or they can make their own speech. because that's what free speech means. but this is not a 1st amendment issue, or a neighbor dispute issue. it concerns a supreme court justice who has and will be making decisions about issues he is totally, extremely, openly biased about.

First the subversion of the rule of law in particular by a very high placed member of the judicial system, and that for a candidate whose program is a thinly disguised program to install a unitary presidency, which is just a euphemism for dictatorship (have you read it? I have,... if you can't spot a Fascist, then please read Umberto Eco's little booklet on the subject, I won't ask you to read the endless treatise on the subject that I have gone through) .
There is also the ultra-nationalism being promoted by the maga guru and their minions, the "women in the kitchen as baby producers" etc... What we are seeing is the rise of fascism in the USA and in many democracies, and it is very destructive. The clothing has changed, but the effect will be the same.. Just check out the ravages of Brexit (which was supported by the Fascist Britain First party) ...
I use the term Fascist, because, while the method the Trumpers are using are more like the Leninists and the Ràkosi Communists (in Hungary, 1945-49), the ultimate aim is a corporate state of sorts, not a class struggle, worker ownership of the means of production ,etc...)

So I, as a grown middle aged woman, if verbally insulted am supposed to go home and disrespect my country's flag? If further insulted should I play my national anthem backwards on a loudspeaker? Then what? Shall I then wipe my shoes on a Holy book, an important national document or something else that people hold in esteem? All this time I thought the mature course of action was to tell the rude person I won't accept them speaking to me like that and end communication. The old saying is a picture is worth a thousand words. But today pictures can be modified easily and the picture may not be the truth. But Sam Alito blaming his wife for doing this is an admission of guilt. If the picture was fabricated then his statement should have been to just deny any wrongdoing because the picture is fake. I would like to hear the neighbor's story, it doesn't seem right that Mrs Alito did all the talking with the neighbor. What did Alito say, did he say anything to defend his wife? Did Mrs Alito embolden herself with her husband at her side and use vulgar language with the neighbor that prompted him to use the C word?
Never-the-less Alito knew the flag was upside down, he is just as guilty as if he put the flag up. This warrants a recusal at the very least or even impeachment from the bench.
