I hope that one day you’ll get an opportunity to design a new yachts interior. That would make a lot of boat owners very, very happy.
Your experience at sea combined with your background it would be something magnificent for sure.
    Cheers

Love the shot of you with the galley wall in the background. I used your idea of using the stick down tile in my bathroom. I used it as a sink backsplash, took less than one square, and looks awesome! Thanks for the inspiration, and thanks as well for the fridge update, I had been wondering about that.

I am so impressed by you two "guys." You're both so ingenious in the way you so frugally bought Uma, then refit her to be not only usable, but beautiful inside and out, just like you both are. That maybe a corny comparison, but I thought very apt. Be safe you two. Love ya and so glad you didn't buy a couch!

Good choice of microwaves with the Panasonic "Inverter" model. We've used them for many, many years and they're unique in that if you set at less than full power, it actually reduces the continuous power to that setting. All other microwaves just pulse less frequently but at full power on each pulse. Love your videos, I look forward to each one.

Well a very dense video. I'm sure you will be happy with the new pantry.
Often I hear people complaining about such a huge high voltage consumer (i.e. the microwave) - but I want to agree: its very effective but never running for a long time.
One hint: the operating time is highly affected by the airflow through the compressor unit. I hope you guided the airflow better than in ships of mass production (there is seldom any guidance).

You could do a "roller" door over microwave and alcohol stove by using narrow strips of wood stuck with impact adhesive to a canvas cloth sheet. Ends guided in either a routed track in two thin wooden side pieces or in two 316 stainless "U" section channels bent or cut, welded and linished. For a smooth operation fit some acetal, nylon or polypropylene to the ends of the wood strips. Nylon you could glue on but the others would need mechanical fastening.

Good to know what happened with the Keco cooling unit. I wanted to try it for my boat, and I'm in the cold SF Bay so it might have worked. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be available anymore, even outside of the US. I guess I'll keep using big blocks of ice. Fridge units with a compressor aren't in my budget. But thanks for giving us the low down on the Keco cooler. :-(

We just completed our second 9-month cruise down the ICW and through the Keys and the Bahamas this past spring (2019). I was delighted to see that you stopped in Salt Ponds, as we always stop in there on our way South or North. In fact, we may have been there at the same time as you! We stopped for two nights on May 31 & June 1, and were in the slip right next to Lady of Mettle, just 4 slips over from where you were. Did our paths cross? Ed & Joan S/V Dolce Vita
