I agree, this is triple what it cost to make. I really like the MXR Carbon Copy. It's a true bucket brigade compact analog delay for $130. This delay sounds nice, but I want to adjust the rate & feedback & be done with it. I don't need tap tempo, I can figure that out as I move the rate knob. The MXR has the same modulation control for the wet repeats. The Edge would like this & he's loaded so he can have 10 of them inline
+letsgoskate691 That's a good question. This video was before my time so it would be impossible to nail down the exact settings. Sorry. Thanks for checkin out our channel!
Does this pedal can do slapback like the Aqua Puss? Delay sounds less reverby but might be just my ears...sounded pretty awesome in a bluesy/rockabilly reverb thing you've done (that's what I'm searching for). Thank you!
Hi , actually have the Malekko 616 Delay..Want a ( warm)tap one and with dotted 8th option if possible ...Is this one the best one in this range of price ? Or T-Rex replay box ? Waleus delay ? Another idea...? Thanks for your answer..Best regards from France, Gaëtan
T-rex replay is punchy and digital, but not too bright. You can't go wrong with the Walrus ARP delay, but I love the Supa Puss. If you don't want to spend much but want something similar, the EHX Deluxe Memory Boy is excellent. It has all the features (except for chase mode..I think, maybe it has that as well) but most importantly, it has an *effects loop* - so you can put an EQ pedal in there to darken or brighten your repeats, use modulation pedals like phasers or tremolos, another delay, reverbs multi-effect unit - whatever. The Deluxe Memory Man 550 and 1100tt have the same features but are a bit better, and also take both an expression-in and a tap-in (the Dlxe Boy only has an expression-in, and unlike the Supa Puss it can't be configured to take an external tap). Best bang for the buck right now is the NUX Atlantic dual Delay & Reverb pedal. Tape, Analog, and Modulated Digital delay modes. Spring, Plate, and Hall reverb modes. Subdivisions, smart-tap, stereo-out if you need it, delay+reverb in series or parallel, TRS-compatible input - for around 150 bucks you can't go wrong.
Update: I'm slowly starting to like it. Plus I read somewhere that the low end roll-off is intentional, in order to mimick a Echoplex-style tape delay. Can anyone confirm?
@@coldwar1977 Yep. That's why the modulation is based on wow and flutter. It's kinda like a hybrid tone. I love using it when my Maxon AD9 is too dark and my digital delays are too pristine. And it's got that tone knob. Great for dub tones with the tone rolled back and the gain up a little. Along with the Supa and the AD-9 pro I've got a T-Rex Replica ("the greatest digital delay pedal ever made" according to many), a Source Audio Nemesis, MXR Ep-103 Echoplex, Boss DD-5, Visual Sound Tap Delay V3 & H20 (amazing, underrated pedals), and a few others - delay+verb pedals (Vfe Yodeler & NUX Atlantic), Keeley ME8, a Line6 M5 which has some sweet delays. Out of all that lot, if I could only have one on the board for the rest of my playing days it'd probably be a coin-toss between the T-Rex and the Way Huge. The Nemesis is amazing but I'm assuming in this I don't have all my MIDI gear and the Neuro App, Editor, and Hub, which are imho absolutely necessary to really unlock that beast. This is *not* about me bragging on my delay collection (cough) - it's about just how awesome this pedal really is. It takes some tweaking and getting used to, but once you're in, you're in for good. Btw if you really like EP-3 tones, that MXR pedal is killer. Kicked my El Capistan off the board and onto the sales forums.
FINALLY - someone who knows how to demo a delay pedal ! (the youngsters were driving me NUTS !) Thanks !
Thank you for showing the self oscillation
Sweet demo! I officially WANT this pedal. :) It shall be mine.....
Good demo. Well done.

Nobody ever needs tap tempo until they are at a show and realize they need tap tempo.
whats the set up from 5:30

Chase mode is cool

First 45 seconds were rough. I don't know what that was... but it wasn't dotted 8th.

Not really, I mean, if you check out the price of the more popular but similar Diamond Memory Lane 2. $600.
I feel like this is similar to a boss RV3
I can't handle when the modulate makes it go out of tune...this is usless to me and might as well not have modulate on it if it's not usable
The repeats lose quite a bit of low end. Not my cup of tea honestly.

coldwar1977 affirmative . If you use the gain in gets heavier in the repeats
