The SC order to underground the power line of windmills is a great initiative since many birds were dying of electrocution. GIB lay 1-2 eggs in a year and therefore are in a serious stage of extinction.
It is our fundamental duty article 51A to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers, wildlife and to have compassion for living creatures.
I hope SC order is followed immediately so that a rare bird could be saved from extinction.

The generation in which we grew up, hunting was legal in India because the number of wild animals and birds were much more and a large swaths of their habitat supported good number of birds. The meat of this bird is UNIQUELY TASTY !
Unfortunately, due to concrete jungle and population expansion, their numbers have dwindled over the years. (hunting was banned fifty years back but their numbers kept on dwindled due to loss of habitat)
Humans are the BIGGEST THREAT to wildlife due to population explosion, pollution, concrete jungle , loss of habitat and their presence is most irritating and a nuisance for wildlife in National parks too.
