Love this! Yesterday happened to be my 30th birthday and I listened to podcast #1 & #2 and then decided to make it my day 001 of doing “the Bible recap”! My 31st birthday I will be able to say I’ve read the Bible front to back for the first time EVER!❤ I am super guilty of skipping the genealogy chapters…and other similar ones. But when Tara Leigh said to lay your eyes on every word… I won’t be skipping them any longer! Can’t wait to start this journey of reading the best book ever written! 📚 ✨
I reached that point in 2012. It finally clicked in my mind and I had heard it before, but my pastor had repeated that if you’ve never read through your entire Bible then you should make it a priority and do it. For the past 5 or 6 years I’ve read through it once year and I’m on my second time through for this year. Just started 1 Chronicles this morning. 😄 Two things that help me with portions like that are, I heard a preacher say that if nothing else maybe someone up in Heaven will be amused by your pronunciation. And also, I love to read and I time myself to see how fast I can get through my pages for the day and that helps me to be diligent and get it done quicker. :) P.S. We are almost the same age. You can do it!
Doing it chronologically really helps, plus TLC has such wonderful insights, nicknames for some of the people, and she makes it more "human", if that makes any sense. My small group is finishing our second year of TBR. One of my friends said something that has really stuck with me. "Now that I've read the Bible once, I feel ready to study it." The second time through, we just keep finding more to love about God's word!
That is incredible!!! I've been reading through The Bible Recap all year and it has truly enriched my life to be able to truly understand Scripture and apply it to my life.

Getting glimpses of the Bible is a very good thing! I will be praying over your personal Bible time with God's word. The thoughts that become overwhelming like an internal storm, Christ will silence those for you. Start by reading a chapter or 15verses from a chapter in any book. Look for what the passage is saying about God and what is it saying about men. Can you identify the "put-ons" and "put-offs" in what you just read? Ending with prayer for application. How would you want God to change your heart or your openness to having God transform your heart. I was biblically counseled this year and it changed my Bible studying. I will be praying for your journey with the Lord to deepen

This is just wonderful! I feel like I'm part of a deep bible study being here. I'm so grateful that you're doing this, Candace. I've always enjoyed watching your programs on TV, but this is even better! Faith is something I continually pray for. I remember reading parts of the bible where Jesus healed people and they thanked him, and he would tell them that it was their faith that healed them which I found interesting because it shows that Jesus wants us to have faith and that is how his plan works, by faith. And I think it's important to remember what faith means: to be sure of what we hope for and certain for what we cannot see. When you think about it, our Lord, our Amazing Creator, is telling us to be certain of what we hope for in relation to being a believer in Christ. That is truly beautiful. The bible is full of the incredible wisdom from our creator and it blows my mind. Whatever it is you struggle with, just pray for it. Developing a relationship with Jesus, God, and the Holy spirit (The Trinity) is such a beautiful experience. God's peace be with you all.

I have watched you since episode 1 of Full House, and I have read your books, and I just adore that you are brave in sharing your faith! And sharing your honesty In that we all have so much still to learn. Praying for you and this ministry!
Thank you for explaining the bible and God and Jesus in a way that's so easy to understand for those of us who struggle to make sense of it. I've been really trying to study and learn how to walk the right pathway to heaven but I don't always understand what I'm reading from the bible and I know I fall short daily and that every day is a new opportunity to strive to do better. God bless you for speaking on a subject that most people frown upon these days.
When I read the Bible for the 2nd or 3rd time, I finally began seeing the overarching repetitive themes, instead of just a series of stories about western civilization or individual lives. When I looked at it like a tapestry and each story a patch in the quilt of humanity, it’s like zooming out, and certain patterns began to emerge for me that reveal God as ultimately: supportive, loving, transformative with exacting standards because they are Heavenly. Heavenly standards surround him. The Lord’s Prayer tells us we must strive to uphold those on earth and the stories illustrate how difficult that has been to maintain throughout history, but also how those difficulties influence our level of reliance on Him in the perfection of Integrity exhibited by Jesus Christ. Almighty. Love this discussion about the Bible. Thank you for the inspiration to get back into it!
I saw a post on Candace’s Instagram page about her doing the Bible Recap. Which got me into doing it this January. Now in the book of Deuteronomy in the Recap, I stumbled on Candace’s podcast here. This is the 1st episode I’ve watched. God’s timing is so on time. I’ve never read the Bible completely and as time has gone on these past 3 months, I’ve been lead to watch faith-based podcasts and blogs/vlogs. I feel him changing me and leading me on this path Of learning and inspiration. So thank you Candace for your simple post and your love for Jesus that is so inspiring. It gave me this push I needed to get back on the path.
Your guest is great. I am Catholic and this is so exciting. I have been through "The Great Adventure Bible Study" at our parish three times. It is the same thing you all are talking about. The story of salvation but in the order it happened. God is absolute love but also absolute just. Jesus is everything.
Love that you are standing on God's truth and honoring biblical marriage. Love it. Finally a celebrity who stands up for Christ. Who cares what other celebrities think of you or go against you, they are lost because they don't know Christ. I will be watching your movies.

Enjoy your podcast my family is Lutheran and my grandparents were church members and always prayed at each meals and prayer every night at bedtime I used to do that when I was a kid as a adult I haven’t been into it until 3 years ago I went back to reading the Bible after my wife passed away before my wife passed she was catholic and I was Lutheran and I went to Catholic Church for a awhile but when she passed I started to read the Bible more and started to pray more everyday and take my Bible with me at work I enjoy reading more
I feel I have come full circle. God is trying to reveal himself. I grew up going to church and went to. Christian School but never really read the Bible to look for God. I have always followed Candice for her movies shows etc. also her clothing line😊. I learned about Tara Leigh and the Bible Recap from Diana Kokku and the verse of the day from You Version. It is amazing how God has brought this all together.

This is just wonderful! I feel like I'm part of a deep bible study being here. I'm so grateful that you're doing this, Candace. I've always enjoyed watching your programs on TV, but this is even better! Faith is something I continually pray for. I remember reading parts of the bible where Jesus healed people and they thanked him, and he would tell them that it was their faith that healed them which I found interesting because it shows that Jesus wants us to have faith and that is how his plan works, by faith. And I think it's important to remember what faith means: to be sure of what we hope for and certain for what we cannot see. When you think about it, our Lord, our Amazing Creator, is telling us to be certain of what we hope for in relation to being a believer in Christ. That is truly beautiful. The bible is full of the incredible wisdom from our creator and it blows my mind. Whatever it is you struggle with, just pray for it. Developing a relationship with Jesus, God, and the Holy spirit (The Trinity) is such a beautiful experience. God's peace be with you all.

Thank you for explaining the bible and God and Jesus in a way that's so easy to understand for those of us who struggle to make sense of it. I've been really trying to study and learn how to walk the right pathway to heaven but I don't always understand what I'm reading from the bible and I know I fall short daily and that every day is a new opportunity to strive to do better. God bless you for speaking on a subject that most people frown upon these days.
When I read the Bible for the 2nd or 3rd time, I finally began seeing the overarching repetitive themes, instead of just a series of stories about western civilization or individual lives. When I looked at it like a tapestry and each story a patch in the quilt of humanity, it’s like zooming out, and certain patterns began to emerge for me that reveal God as ultimately: supportive, loving, transformative with exacting standards because they are Heavenly. Heavenly standards surround him. The Lord’s Prayer tells us we must strive to uphold those on earth and the stories illustrate how difficult that has been to maintain throughout history, but also how those difficulties influence our level of reliance on Him in the perfection of Integrity exhibited by Jesus Christ. Almighty.

I saw a post on Candace’s Instagram page about her doing the Bible Recap. Which got me into doing it this January. Now in the book of Deuteronomy in the Recap, I stumbled on Candace’s podcast here. This is the 1st episode I’ve watched. God’s timing is so on time. I’ve never read the Bible completely and as time has gone on these past 3 months, I’ve been lead to watch faith-based podcasts and blogs/vlogs. I feel him changing me and leading me on this path Of learning and inspiration. So thank you Candace for your simple post and your love for Jesus that is so inspiring. It gave me this push I needed to get back on the path.

Your guest is great. I am Catholic and this is so exciting. I have been through "The Great Adventure Bible Study" at our parish three times. It is the same thing you all are talking about. The story of salvation but in the order it happened. God is absolute love but also absolute just. Jesus is everything.

Enjoy your podcast my family is Lutheran and my grandparents were church members and always prayed at each meals and prayer every night at bedtime I used to do that when I was a kid as a adult I haven’t been into it until 3 years ago I went back to reading the Bible after my wife passed away before my wife passed she was catholic and I was Lutheran and I went to Catholic Church for a awhile but when she passed I started to read the Bible more and started to pray more everyday and take my Bible with me at work I enjoy reading more

I feel I have come full circle. God is trying to reveal himself. I grew up going to church and went to. Christian School but never really read the Bible to look for God. I have always followed Candice for her movies shows etc. also her clothing line😊. I learned about Tara Leigh and the Bible Recap from Diana Kokku and the verse of the day from You Version. It is amazing how God has brought this all together.
