    This is the best review I have seen for this mouse. Being that it’s 2022 and I’m incredibly lazy and just want to order from Amazon I’m thankful that there are people who review these items so I can make an informed decision. I liked and subscribed based on this video. Keep up the great work!

    Thanks helped me clearly settle on the MX Anywhere 3. Good for small hands, portability, mag wheel, and what sold me was the horizontal scrolling ability.

    Great review. I’ve been using the MX 2S for a while now as a travel and sometimes desktop mouse. When I heard there was a new MX 3 I got excited, but was quickly tuned down by the apparent lack of the way I was used to scroll left or right on it (by tilting the scroll wheel left or right). I thought “why would Logitech remove this feature on the newer MX 3”. So, I kept the old one. But now, after seeing your review, I learned this function’s execution is now done differently, not removed. Like you said, it might require some new memory muscle.
    Thanks so much!
    I might actually start reconsidering.

    The MX Master 3 is not for everyone. If you do not use a palm grip, it is extremely uncomfortable due to the huge size, forcing you to hold it in that way, no matter the size of your hand. So the MX Anywhere 3 is much more suitable for me hopefully, since I use the fingertip grip.

    • @Fred-ny8jm
      @Fred-ny8jm 2 года назад +1

      true. i got the mx master 3 then i had to buy a palm grip to use comfortable

    • @thenonexistinghero
      @thenonexistinghero 2 года назад +3

      I think that the MX Anywhere 3 is good for most people. People who use palm grip need to stop using it and start using smaller mice. It leads to more RSI problems. It requires you to use more muscle and to use your entire arm to move it around. Using it all day puts a lot more stress on your muscles. On top of that the mice used with the palm grip are bigger and heavier, meaning it will cost more strength to move them... also leading to an increased risk of developing RSI problems. And well, then there's the fact that this grip is just less accurate and slower.
      I'd say the number 1 kind of people who develop RSI problems from computer usage are professional gamers. They used the claw or fingertip grip for most part, but they use it so much and so intensively that it can lead to problems. The number 2 people would be office workers. Folks who aren't too familiar with using a PC properly and stick to early, nasty habits they developed. Not like they played much in terms of PC games, they never had the need to adapt to a more efficient grip.
      That being said, the MX Anywhere 3 is called lightweight in quite a few reviews... but I think it's actually relatively heavy for such a small mouse. It's a very comfy one, but if I had to think of 1 improvement for the next iteration it's to significantly reduce the weight. In the recent year we've had some mice being 60 or so grams... the expensive Finalmouse Starfall-12 mice even go as low as 43 or so (but also insanely beautiful). This one is like 99 grams... so it would be very nice if they could half the weight or something in the next iteration. Sure, 60 grams would be nice... but less than 50 would be amazing. It seems pro gamers are starting to move towards light mice for gaming as well. It's not just good for your hand/arm health, but it allows for increased accuracy, speed and precision as well.

      This perfectly sums up my experience. I have the MX Master 2S and Anywhere 2S and prefer the Anywhere because I do not use a palm grip with either one. A finger grip works beautifully with the Anywhere, but quickly becomes uncomfortable with the larger mouse.

    Thanks for the comparison. I have an MX Master 3 and, after taking my Anywhere 2s out of the drawer, forgot how much I loved the Anywhere size profile. So I bought the MX Anywhere 3. To be certain, the MX Master 3 is a great (and large) mouse but I tend to use apps where I'm navigating back and forth between the keyboard and mouse. I found that it took me those annoying little extra fractions of a second to properly get a good/correct grip on the Master 3. With the Anywhere 3, the switch between keyboard-mouse-keyboard is so much quicker. Both great mice - just prefer the Anywhere series.

    Really useful. Had a £10 wireless Microsoft mouse for years but it's always bugged me having to use up a USB slot with the dongle. Then recently work bought me an Apple Magic Mouse 2. Thought it would be amazing... it isn't. Apart from it being Bluetooth (and thus having no dongle), the only thing I like about it is being able to scroll horizontally with a gesture. But it doesn't have a middle click! Meaning you can't open stuff in new tabs quickly along with a few other things. Didn't know how much I took that for granted until I didn't have it. However, not having a dongle is lush, so I'm on the hunt for a Bluetooth mouse. It was between a cheap £15 Technet one and a more expensive Logitech MX Anywhere 3 (personally I don't like ergonomic designs so I've not considered the Master). This video has persuaded me to get the Logitech I think. Thanks for the help!

    outside of the custom functions of having the side scroll wheels on the master, side scrolling itself
    should not be a factor in deciding between the 2. By default, if you hold one of the side buttons on the mini while you use the scroll wheel you’re able to side scroll left and right all the same.

    I have Master 3. I love its buttons, especially horizontal scroll, but it's bulky for travel, and I wish they made it in two sizes because for most women or people with smaller hands it's awkward to use and my hand gets cramped trying to reach some buttons or hanging across the mouse.
    So I've been considering switching to Anywhere.
    I'm left handed, too, but I'm used to using a house in my right hand.

    Hi,
    My MX Master 3 has gotten sticky because the rubber coating has worn down even though I haven’t used it that much.
    Does the MX Anywhere 3 have the same rubber coating?
    I’m looking to get a more compact mouse, and it seems like a good option, but I’d like to avoid the same problem with the coating.
    Cleaning it doesn’t do the trick, rubbing alcohol supposedly wears down the rubber even more.

    For 20 dollars less, you lose out on ergonomics, hand feel and side scrolling. While the space the smaller mouse gives for a tiny bag might be worth it to what I feel is a very small minority of people, especially since the MX Master only has that bit sticking out the side which I consider to be a small sacrifice in terms of space when you consider how much better that bit makes the mouse. I can only see the smaller mouse being good for left-handed people and people with small hands and everyone else should get the MX or get something cheaper
