The Final Days of Fiddler's Ferry Power Station Warrington - Before Demolition - 4k Drone Footage

Fiddler's Ferry Power Station has been an iconic landmark for many people, especially for those who have lived and worked in the area. The power station was decommissioned a few years ago and the 4 northern towers were demolished on 3rd December 2023.
My friend and hoped to capture this historic moment in time on video and photographically. We had a super early start to a very cold winter Sunday morning, with all our equipment at the ready but neither of us had anticipated that the fog would completely obscure our view. Nevertheless, we certainly heard the bang of the explosion!
The footage from this video was filmed over 3 days from various vantage points around the site in the days before demolition. Although the skyline will never be the same, I hope that this video will help you to remember this power station of the past.

Very nice video, well edited and put together. I think a lot of us drone flyers had the same idea. 😁 It was just a shame on the actual day it was low visibility. Del 👍

Thanks so much for your kind words. Yes, real disappointment on the day. Stood there for hours in the freezing cold and then... nothing!
