Sister station to my local and now closed Didcot A in Oxfordshire. Both stations were built by the same hands, to a near identical design. There was even Scouse graffiti all over some parts of Didcot A. We shall never see the likes of these behemoths ever again.
Coal fired power stations did a brilliant job during their time. When in steam it was like they were alive when inside. I understand that their time has gone and we desperately need a greener future, but please don't disrespect the job that they and their staff have done over the many years.
Hello Sally, I was wondering if I could use some of your footage in a short film I am making about Fiddler's Ferry? It's part of a non-profit series of educational videos designed to teach young people about thermodynamics.
+Energy MOOC Hello, just looked up MOOC Energy to understand where you're coming from. I can't say that I appreciate power stations, or the fact that the coal is shipped in from America. The film I made was a social documentary about England's landscape today, compared to a painting say of a Constable. Not too sure I want to help educate about Power stations really. Sorry! Unless you can tell me something more about what you're teaching, Sally
What a brilliant video f a power plant that’s on my doorstep. Thank you.
That was a cool use of sound
