When trying to get the path perfectly aligned, you can place a building using the angle snap, connect a path and it will be perfectly aligned with the barrier
I came here to say the same thing. Super helpful for getting it perfect or if you want a guest area to be perfectly on the world grid.

Yes i wanted to write the same thing, using the ''hidden'' grid by using angle snap on buildings has been one of my main building techniques to get symmetry and beautiful enclosure shapes.

You could also just place a building at an angle snap to make sure that your path is aligned to the map border
EASY TIP to make straight paths:
1. Put down a hatchery with the path side facing the edge of the map
2. Build a path out of it until it reaches the border
3. Delete the hatchery and expand around it
Just when I was struggling getting my island looking right, Evo comes to the rescue!

You can also just use snap points when making the grid, I just place a gyrosphere attraction cause its tiny with the path going the direction I want it to then just delete the attraction. I personally use snap points all the time, it saves a lot of time when playing decorations and paths down
As always thanks for the tips Evo. I've tried so many different ways to make the grid that I'd eventually get frustrated that it didn't line up and eventually I just went to free handing the island shape without the grid.
After seeing Mini-Nublar, it actually inspired me to make the island from a fanfiction that I'm writing
I regret not using the grid so i'll definately be using that on attempt 2 lol

i made my own mini nublar soon after i saw your 1st video, and gave up on the grid after i couldnt figure out how to do it. i ended up just eyeballing it. lol. now i wanna redo my map after seeing how to properly doing it

I will use this instead of grabbing a 5.5 x 5.5 grid of Sorna… (it was so damn hard to make 😂) at least the land turned out great and I even fit in a side island for a 2003 Spinosaurus (JPOG) called Great Rock!

Dear Evo, if I watch a tutorial on sth, it always is interesting for the thing to learn. Dont say its boring. If it was, i wouldnt watch it. Tutorials are no editing wonder video. But on the other hand, I wouldn't want it to. This is interesting for what it is.

I have watched all your park builds
I JUST discovered that the non-flattened map of Isla Nublar 2015 map is actually roughly shaped like Isla Nublar. Even though it's only a small area of the island which you can build on, the buildable area is actually really close to the shape of the entire island. (Sorry if I'm late with noticing this, I stopped playing for a short period of time, got interested again recently and just noticed this.

For a road you can make plase a building and make a road from this building into the korner. It more guaranteed smooth marking.

Hey. Just. Heads up one of the most problems I had was starting was the first line I recommended if your trying to do this to start with a small building to keep your first line strait I just found it more easy to make a strait line instead of winging it because when I start the line it’s crooked

Evo you should do a whole Prehistoric Planet park. Like with the yutaranus and pachyrhinosaurus, Mosasaurus and Tyranosaurus, pyroraptor (intstead of velociraptor) and any flying reptile. Just a thought

I was following along and when you wrote 10 instead of 6 I was like: “ok, is this a necessary thing, or a mistake…” I made isla Sorna and I think I’m gonna make a sanctuary thingy mabob, like the movies with invisible fence. I’m gonna try adding an arrival poin with no fence and a plaza so the dinosaurs can scare the guests and they’ll go running into the wilderness 😂

Placing a shop helps me to start the grids
(Near impossible to fly perfectly parallel to the edge on Console)

I challenge you to make the JP Movie or Novel, you choose, in a Mini Nublar, I did it and their.. not perfect, but it is something, and I want to see how a pro would do it lmao :D

I place a building first, since they can be snap-rotated in exact north-south / east-west rotations. Then place roads from there, back to the corner, then erase the building.

A way to do it right next to the border is by placing a even building and then use a path to get the path straight.
