Can you please show how you’d secure those grips when your opponent is hand fighting? I can do this during drilling no problem, but in sparring my opponent always knows what I’m going for as soon as I have the first grip.
As a lower belt I say from my experience, to get the first grip right it's tough but you can get it after trying and trying. And for the finish you can get your second grip you can get your own feet or opponent back and then readjust your posture or use your elbow while holding your opponent shoulder.
Put your elbows together as much as you can. I think where people mess up is winging open their elbows when they pull down which opens the scissor from the neck. If all else fails turn it to side control or use your feet off his hips
I'm here because of viral hit.

This is definitely on of the tricky ones to get in live sparring. It'd all about getting the first grip as deep as you can. 2nd grip will be easier

If they hand fight a ton once u have the first grib you can transition to triangle or arm bar quite easily

I Would love a video on how to defend this❤❤❤
Prevent them from getting a grip deep in the collar & maintain a solid posture
Bruh, green gi needs to let it go. Accept that bald is beautiful, and never look back.
I think he has grey hair patch, not bald
Horrible demonstration of this choke so many details missed.
Ok
I can never seem to hit it. Still don't know what I do wrong
Same... this is a "basic" one, but still so easy to mess up.
The answer for me is my grip isn’t deep enough
its mostly the wrist flex, trust me.
Same here. Sigh.
