WOW thank you!!! i found this tv on the side of the road the other day. i said to my wife let grab it and see if it works lol... my wife said to throw it away so i've put it in my truck to dump it tomorow and saw this video!! decided to give it a try... took me 5 attemps to find the right pin! works like a CHARM now!

There was no reaction from the TV when either side cable was unplugged bar a split white and black screen. How dishes assume the right hand connection was loading?

Thats what I would realy like to know
Think there is a short on the screen and this is blocking one side of that circuit, preventing the short from completing. Usually this takes trial and error blocking different sections of the ribbon cable to find the bad section.
Although ultimately the tv still has a short - and a potential fire risk but yes it works - I have a Hisense 50” doing the same but I’ll scrap it as I’ve ordered a new tv with 2.1 hdmi - but nice video m8

What the heck how the crap does that work? Why wouldn’t that part be covered from the factory on every TV. I’m no TV repair expert but this seems fishy.

It will work but not all the time.
Also, there is no settings on factory mode to fix it because it is a hardware issue. And if there happens to be, you still cannot adjust it because the factory mode OSD won't pop up.
Should the left connector when connected have displayed a picture here?

Show as and tell us how many pins on the ribbon that u blocking the signal from t- con board...what are the signal u have blocking?

What signals or voltage are you blocking. So by blocking certain signals/voltages as you show in this video, how does the panel continue to work then? Can someone point me to a video to explain this.
How come when you block that tracez the signal still comes through iver the whole oanel. When you taped the first tracez we saw partly signal. But when you arjusted the tape, it seems to be fixed. I wonder how its possible the signal still goes through the whole panel side, when part is blocked

i have a TCL 55P8M model have vertical line in the middle no image same on the video i try the to check if there image on left and right.
so did the trick with the tape,worked perfectly,however after about an hour the picture is overtaken by another picture,while its on in the background and then its on a loop every 30-45 seconds.any ideas???????????????????
try to cover more lines. if it doesn't work, try to cover less lines

@BLACK NIGHT yes. But with the added tape, the pins don't make contact any more in the connector
@@khalkhal2372 I guess these pins caused a short and error in tcon board. When covered they dont make contact with tcon board so no short (or fault) detected.

@@pascalphase2556 Well, it’s a common fix. Many video’s on this topic. It bypasses the clocksignal to the panel. But i’m not shure what causes the fault.
