BBC dönem dizilerini çok iyi beceriyor. En son Benedict Cumberbetch'ı izledim ve beni çok etkileyen bir oyuncu oldu, zaten Tom Stoppard'a hayrandım. Ne diyeyeim, çok güzel.
Ok, how soon can we get these shows on BBC America??? Like...sooner than a year, please? I'm still reeling that I have to wait until January to see Downton season 3 while my UK friends get it in September!
Parade's End at least is a BBC/HBO project. So there's hope that we might get it quicker since HBO is involved. The rest of them... we're doomed to waiting. With all the shows we've been promised in 2013 from BBCA, it's a wonder any US shows will be watched at all.
Download a thingy called Expatshield, and then you can watch BBC iPlayer and see all this. ;) They might end up on Netflix, PBS, or BBC America, eventually.
I could say the same about US shows such as Boardwalk Empire, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Workaholics, the list can go on. HBO & AMC shows are Brill! The Sopranos & Boardwalk have great dark humour!
Yeah, I heard about the Drama budget. Still really great shows, though. Did you like Line of Duty? I never usually stop watching shows midway, but after the second episode, I decided it wasn't my thing. The end of that episode was just really silly. Did it get better?
well i loved the tudors on showtime regardless of it's historical inaccuracies. I feel the same love for The Borgais. Strange though that you list all these great shows HBO has produced and you fail to mention ROME! That was the greatest series the network ever created and blows all the other ones you mentioned out of the water.
Eh, I find myself watching more US TV at the moment (and I'm English). I don't watch many British shows other than the stuff BBC commissions (Sherlock, The Hour, Luther). ITV has the odd good show (Appropriate Adult) and Sky Atlantic had Hit & Miss. But BBC2 is where it's at. The only channel that really takes risks. The US has Homeland, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Breaking Bad and The Newsroom is polarising, but I personally enjoying it. All fun, but intelligent and well-scripted shows.
Trust me, I'm sure we'd have a lot more great stuff if the BBC wasn't being totally screwed over with its drama budget. We still get some pretty amazing stuff considering but the budget for more top quality stuff is waning. Line of Duty was the most recent one though and that was brilliant.
With all due respect, I feel that it's a bit of preconception that the expression "I'm ONLY here because of Cumberbatch" means they are here merely for the actor's looks. I don't see it's hugely different between "ONLY here for X!" and "X!" It seems to me it's just a way to express their excitement about seeing someone they really like in the trailer, and it's okay if people only care for one person or one show; no needs to be judgmental to people's motivation of watching any shows.
Hi They may utter a certain person's name, but no one looks down on other shows. Everyone can have his/her favorite and express their adoration; it doesn't necessarily mean they won't watch other shows, or even people just care for one show, say, The Fall, The Hour or Parade's End, what's so wrong with that? There are people saying "Cumberbatch!" and there are also people uttering "Gillian Anderson!" None of them are pathetic.
No of course not, I wasn't commenting on British accents. I just prefer British humor and most of the BBC shows I've seen are ten times better than any show in the US.
Every single one of these was immense, especially dancing on the edge!!! More please
Same here! It's got a good reverb to it. Lovely and electric sharp.
so true and showtime has a few gems for shows as well
for the past 2-3 years bbc have put on some of the best shows i've seen, especially luther, sherlock and the shadow line.
BBC is really stepping up with the good TV films.
Looking forward to The Fall as I was a policeman in it for 2 months. Loved working with Gillian Anderson.
the song is 'relax, my beloved' - Alex clare
Yes it is! Thanks for sharing that! Hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see it either :o)

Ooh good question, me too!
Thank you ever so much! :D
my heart is about to explode
All of these shows look amazing! They look better than a majority of the shows we have in the United States.
And this is why the bbc is my favourite
I'm so looking forward to moving to England nextyear! But I will be in a boarding school so I guess I won't have the chance to watch much TV... :(
thank you so much you made my day
I think the music is Relax My Beloved by Alex Clare without the lyrics
Everything looks so good. Can't wait!😍
Thanks a lot!! :D
downtown abbey isn't bbc's it's ITV which might take longer depending on when the channel in the US would pick it up to show for america
Same to you, my dear~ ;-)
Definitely can't wait to see Gillian in The Fall, the show looks amazing! :)

channel 4 has many of it's own shows and so does extra tv channel like bbc 2, bbc 3, itv2, sky but there are american show but not all of them are shown on tv

Dexter and Mad Men are quality, top-notch US shows too!

He's in Parade's End, not The Fall.
Benedict!!! *squeals*

Instrumental version of Alex Clare - 'Relax My Beloved'
