Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and a new baby girl named Lyla. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 7 years.

Lilly, thiis so cheers me up so much. I live in South Africa and my husband and I have travelled just about every year to Thailand and we were just finalising our retirement dream and in process to move to Thailand, wanting to settle in Phuket, but was also contemplating Koh Samui. But a week before our move he devastatinly passed away. Chatachuk was our favourite weekend treat. Oh my Lord, my heart and soul is there all the time. But my son did not want me to do it on my own. So heartbreaking that I could not live our dream. I have been back several times after that and so heartbroken that I could not live my dream out. Please always just send my love out there to my beautiful Thailand. Hope the Lord will have my mansion built there for when He calls me home. Just love your channel and your beautiful family.

My family once lost my little sister (3 years old) at that market. It was a miracle we found her.
When my late husband was working in Thailand, I was going there almost every weekend because our house was in located in sphan kwai,not far from chachucak market.....and in those days there were no subway still and most clothes are far too small in size for me , but I still go there for other stuff. Still can remember all that.

I used to live in Thailand and Bangkok and my friends (western and Thai) used to love going to that market and getting lost and then getting massages. I miss Thailand. You make me want to move back. Thailand will always be home. Thanks Lil, these videos make my heart full. I also lived in Vietnam and only left 6 months ago and let me just say SEA is where magic is made.

Lilly we've been in Chatuchak when I got my 2weeks vacation in Thailand last june 28 until july 10. Thailand is a nice and see many places in Thailand. We bought lot of souvenirs, T- shirt and bag, wallet, shawl its really affordable price. We went also to Pathunam, Pattaya floating market, Sanctuary, Korlan and we had a Dinner Cruise ship in Asiatique. I have a friend who lives in Pattaya Central Park. We stayed Cubic Hotel. We been a lot of places I just forgot the name. Its nice to go to Thailand. Have a Blessed day. God Bless🥰🙏❤️

I loved that market, and I remember the Paella man, I got lost more than once. Looking forward to my trip in January but going straight to Koh Samui and relaxing.
Spent weekends at JJ growing up! Best thing to do is ask for a business card if you are interested in something but not 100%. Because yes it is hard to find stalls again. Once a friend gave directions " go in and to the right" haha

My sister and I went to.chatuchak market when we went to Bangkok in 2006. What an experience. We spent the whole day there and we didn't see even half of it. It's so big and so much to see.

The Paella man opened up again in Chatachuk. But on the other side! He now has a much smaller restaurant stall, but you can find him- and he is on the outside ring.

We had so much fun at he market last year. Hot but fun.
There were never so many eateries there before. Yes, but you have to bargain. We used to visit only on weekends as it was a weekend market two decades ago and the market was known for beautiful, artificial flowers

Chatuchak is a maze we’ve been there twice (last nov & then last week) and I think we still only saw 1/8 of the place it’s soooo hot 🥵. Your moms an expert!
Hi Lilly!! I’m from the US and I’ve been there SO many times. I love Thailand and used to go often and would always make sure to be in Bangkok for one day at Chi-Chi. It got to the point where I kind of knew my way around so I was like…omg I’m coming too much. But I LOVE it…it’s so fun!!! You can find absolutely anything!!! I haven’t been to Thailand since 2019 but will be back for sure!!!! I work for an airline and I think I’ve been there over 20 times…easy!!!! Love this video. Makes me feel at home.
