Lily and Susan. I love this story! When I lived in Japan, I visited Thailand and loved the country. I just remember how I loved the food. It is the freshest food I have ever tasted! I also remember the clothing stalls where people would just buy clothes. I saw these french businessmen who bought the entire stall full of products and shipped it back to France to sell back there. Thailand is a great place to live. It is affordable and a VERY HAPPY place to live. I love watching your videos and I love the journey that Lily has taken. You never know what will happen, but I believe that God has the best for you in life. I pray for continued blessings to reign in your lives and look forward to watching more of your videos. Cheers!

Excellent story. Reminded me years ago when I was 19-20 years, my first trip to Vietnam as a backpacker I brought back to Australia an entire sack like Santa full of hats, baseball caps, designer hats, shade caps etc. Probably over 500-600 hats worth as carry luggage.
I found a wholesale street somewhere in Saigon selling them for 50c-$1 each. Then easily resold them for $10-15 each at the markets here. Highly profitable back then.
Easily paid for my entire trip, Uni plus more.
Kept going back and forth multiple times during Uni holidays for many years. Each time a bigger sack but enough to be kept under carry weight limit 30kg.
Could of expanded the business then but stop many years now to pursue another imports business. Was very competitive in the later years as other people caught on. :)

Great video Lily! Your Mom is really enterprising in business and adventurous trying new foods and visiting new places. My Motto is : "CHALLENGE YOURSELF" &." CHANGE A CHORE INTO A CHALLENGE". That helped me succeed in business and also I was able to Mentor and start others in business. I used to also be in the Import business and imported products from Thailand, China, Sri Lanka and India & Pakistan, I also owned and operated my own Indo Chinese Restaurant, since I love to cook. Just keep doing what you both enjoying doing and even if your don't make a lot of money, you will certainly gain a lot of knowledge & experience. Continued success to you and your Mom. Good luck!

@@lillyslife : I wish I would have noticed and watched your You tube videos in late 2018 or early 2019. As you know we visited Haty Yai, Songhkla, Bangkok and Pataya after visiting & touring Singapore and Malaysia.. We could have met you & Wat treated you both to dinner and we could have gotten to know each other better & learned from each other. Next time we visit Thailand, we will sure let you know as my wife loved Thailand, even though she is not a foodie like me. I used to Import Handicrafts, Clothing, Scarves, Jewelry etc and then when it got too competitive, I switched to sporting Goods and imported Boxing Equipment from China, India and Thailand as it was more lucrative in the mid 80's and off course that also got competitive and the profit margin fell, so I owned and operated an Indo Chinese Restaurant and it was also very profitable. So, dabbled with a few businesses and made some good money in the early years.

DEAREST Lilly, Please do not succumb to Buddhism etc. Read the impressive missionary biography of GOD in 1 Peter 1:18-20. GOD paid the supreme cost to redeem us from the emptiness of our FALSE RELIGIONS & IDEOLOGIES. What was the redeeming price? PETER no doubt remembers vividly the apalling sight of the bleeding, broken body of JESUS on the cross when saying we were ransomed "with the precious blood of CHRIST, a lamb without blemish or defect" (v.19) Robert FAY (Registered PHARMACIST) formerly from Sukhothai & now in Sydney, AUSTRALIA.

This is an amazing adventure you all were on. I really love hearing the story and seeing the beautiful photographs of the fabrics along with your story. I like your advice about re-branding. I’m really interested in you guys because like you I have a very strong French connection Having been born in France but living in the states for a long time. My business was called the French tart and I needed to change it to a Lauredon Place the name of my street. I hope you continue to give advice and inspire. I need to learn more about the business side of things So thank you for posting This kind of content! May you do well during the holidays!

Hi Lilly, New friend here. I am not sure why your channel came to my feed. But all day today I watched several of your videos. I am originally from The Philippines but living now in the US since 2014. What's interesting is my husband and I has been talking almost the same idea of what you and your Mom is doing.
Thank you to your Mom for mentioning about the shipping...😊
